When playing against random

As a protoss main, when you’re up against a random player what is your go to build? I was laddering last night and got 3 random zergs in a row and got killed by 3 speedling rushes. They were my first games in awhile so whatever, but where do you place your first pylon against random players and when do you prove scout?

low ground and early probe scout so you make pylon before probe. I do this because not having low ground pylon/gate block is completely untenable vs zerg, but you can overcome having it down there vs p and t.

I’m not a Protoss player but I cheese random players every time out of disrespect.

Wall on the ramp because a lowground wall can get you killed pretty easy against early tank push or lot of protoss timings. When I see a protoss walls on the lowground for any dumb reason I dump 3 chronos on the warp gate and snipe his cyber before he can finish his warp gate, it’s autowin most of the time. Also cannonrushes are awful to deal with a lowground building

If you get zerg, you will get your wall at the natural with tech and 2 gateways before lingspeed is done from a hatch gas pool opening, if it’s early pool just go double gate, take your nexus after the 2nd gateway cycle and put a pylon close to the nexus to create a choke for adepts and you ll be fine. Even if he comits to lingflood you will have the tech advantage.

I always pylon probe scout in any matches since I don’t like building things in my main either

Probius rush.
