I play random when I just want to have fun, but if I want to practice, then I play single race. And as other poster said, I don’t like some mirrors, so playing random means less of those mirrors (tvt and pvp)
No, I hate cheesing, so I’m bad at executing it. I can do timings and people will call me a cheeser for it.
Yes, when I play terran I leave every tvt (play unranked), and when I play protoss I leave some pvp.I couldn’t imagine having to play every game with a single race.
I’m way better with zerg, with protoss I’m about 3500-3800, same as terran and with zerg I’m able to play at 4100-4200 even when I’m rusty. The problem with my t and p is that I’m not a cheeser or all inned, I play really standard and macro, and many times I pay for it, and I’m not consistent with these races, some games I dominate, and the next one I lose to some random bs.
Mostly to change things up. Less repetitive, more match-ups and funnier games, since you aint doing pretty much the same thing every game
No, not at all
No
Mostly because I wanna offrace, but can’t decide which one ot chose
D1 Terran & Zerg, M1 Protoss, so nope
Honestly, as said, it’s usually just that I’m bored of main race, don’t wanna go tryhard and even unrank still makes you play people really too close to your mmr. So random is best
Started with Terran. Its extremely stressful but very rewarding when done well.
Then learned Protoss to chill after epic games with T when I just wouldnt handle second like that in a row. Its chill, you pick build and win or lose depending on if enemy does good enough job countering you.
Learned Zerg to be able to play random. Mechanical race and kinda boring. Wins dont feel that rewarding too.
I’m pretty sure the odds of getting a mirror match up are still the same, if the probability of getting any one race is still 1/3, you just have 3 different ways to get the mirror match up now. Though the probability of getting the same mirror match up is much lower.
