What's the most brain blasting discovery you've made in co-op?

I think he means mengsk’s medivacs which can’t heal mechanical, don’t provide damage reduction and don’t heal anywhere near as fast as raynor’s medics.

Speaking of raynor’s medics, the healing from “Medics Heal Additional Target” mastery stacks with the primary heal. If you have two medics healing two wounded units they will heal faster than faster than one medic healing one wounded unit.

Can we un-nerf mengks medivac please? D:

Oh yeah, you’re right, misread the word.

Vermillion Problem:

  • If an unit is burning in the magma at the time you bring the last crystal, it may be saved (that poor scv was burning all over, but didn’t die in the end)
  • Magnetic Mines trigger lava spouts and Donny comments, but are unaffected by them (so it’s just an annoyance).

Speaking of burning, a lot of player don’t realize that hero units generally can survive the lava a decent amount of time without taking huge damage.

This specifically refers to Kerrigan, Tychus, Odin, Packleaders, etc. I’ve seen a lot of people often just leave it. As if we’re really playing the kid’s game of “floor is lava, can’t touch it!” You can walk in it just fine. I don’t recommend people bathe in it (though Dakrun can do so with comfort), there is also no sense in wasting time/timer.

If ya kno wut I mean.

Alarak punch can slow Shuttles. Dunno if anyone ever gets that Alarak upgrade though.

Pretty sure it’s not intended, but it’s about Dehaka. As P2, if Dehaka enters Kerrigan’s omega worm, you can spawn all 3 of your pack leaders, unload Dehaka and bam. The pack leaders still have the extra hp, damage and lower cooldown, completely ignoring the disadvantage of the prestige. I think this is caused because Dehaka is theoretically not on the map, but he still is at the same time. I’m not too sure about the specifics of this interaction, but my god is this fun.

So then I suppose the question is, how does that apply if I go ahead and kill Dehaka. I don’t have the time to test it, but depending on how it goes it could be quite the useful trick for only a bit of minerals.

I haven’t encountered that situation, sadly. I’ll do some testing tomorrow and see. Could be an interesting trick indeed.

I am very happy to learn this trick. Thanks, imma look into it.

I just did the test (via a maguro map). I had my 3 pack leaders up and ready, i suicided dehaka, and when i spawned Glevig, i couldn’t spawn another pack leader at the same time. So this interaction only seems to work with Kerrigan’s Omega Worms unfortunately. Still super cool.

I did as well. Interestingly, it can be done at ‘any time’ while the packleaders become available. What I mean is that 2 out of 3 can be just as useful, or even 1 out of 3.

Provided that your ally does (what I generally do), which is getting the Nydus out ~4:30 ish. This allows Dehaka to readily dodge into the Omega Network. Glevig doesn’t usually come online until post 5min (if I recall correctly, going the earliest packleader build order). And Murvar about 2 min after that.

So for real in-game application, one can (at least in theory), have Dehaka and Glevig as early as around that 5min mark running separately or rampantly together. Moreover, upon Murvar’s coolup finishes. The player can again choose to either hide back into Omega Network for an added Murvar to the field in addition to the current repertoire, or choose to disable Dehaka (perhaps for HP reasons) and be replaced by Murvar.

Extrapolating to later games (where such as MO), the packleaders overlap quite a bit. This little trick can definitely come in handy. Although, I suppose anyone capable of doing solo-Dehaka and Kerrigan (as this generally requires and benefits this type of build order and gameplay) may likely not need this at all.

Still, neat stuff. :+1:

Yeah this trick makes this prestige extremely versatile. Plus, if you need them to, Murvar and Dakrun can in fact enter the Omega Worms as well, so that gives them insane mobility which they don’t usually have. The possibilities are basically endless, but sometimes it’s just fun to spawn all 3 and massacre a base like the end of Rifts to Korhal lol

Absolutely. While I don’t think this (unfortunately) will change any speedrunning records. It is still cool to use  . Thanks for telling us man.

You’re welcome  Glad i could share this discovery!

Do Abathur worms do the trick too? (by default, I would suppose yes)
Also, I was thinking of other ways to “kidnap” Dehaka, and was wondering (though if it’s the case, it require an even more brainful partner, a rare resource) if being picked by Nova transport allow some similar trick if not transported immediately?

If I remember correctly, Abathur’s worms don’t work cause they can’t fit Dehaka in. But i’m gonna try it out again just to be sure.

EDIT: Abathur’s worms work as well, but they’re considerably slower than Kerrigan’s worm to appear, making Kerrigan’s the preferred option imo

When your ally uses Zeratul P1. They don’t have enough fire power on ME, so they decide it was a smart idea to Super Cloak their army.

Guess what’s left for the infested to target :joy: .

Omg hahaha, this is comical now. Literally 2 games after the above ME, I come across another P1 Zeratul on Malwarfare. Despite me clearing half the map as P3 Nova, decided it was cool to cloak my Hellbats.

Guess what’s left for the waves of zerg to target :joy: . Lmao.

Dirge Beetles on Chain of Ascension are considered neutral critters so you can click them to blow them up. If you hotkey Selection to a button you can now just mouse over them while holding the key to blow them all up.

Easy Chain of Ascension bonus for you.

Dogs of War is based on when you first click it. Not when you select the target.

Assuming you miss the world “cooldown”, then could that mean someone getting carried could click to initiate the cooldown, then wait until cooldown is almost over to launch it, then launch a 2nd wave of it right after?
