1, Terran has MULES.
2, Terran is always ahead in upgrades.
3, Terran has hellbats to counter op chargelot.
4, Terran has Marines to counter any sky unit Protoss has.
5, Terran has Siege Tanks to counter blink stalkers, it just require some learning and effectively 5 brain cells to not put them in the front of the base to be blinked on-top on.
6, Terran also has Marauders to counter Stalker, which cost more than a Marauder mind you.
7, Terran has Raven to effectively kill one Colossus.
8, 8 Marines can kill a very important tech building that Protoss absolutely require to even have a dream to gain an edge against Terran mid-game pushes.
9, Terran SCV has 45 hp while adepts and oracles (2 of the only unit Protoss has that is useable to harass without being considered an all-in) only deal 22 hp against light.
10, Terran has Sensor Tower to never be caught of guard on their territory.
That’s all for my Ted-talk, maybe the top 11-20 will be released soon if this gain enough attraction. Thank you for coming and listening.
…PvT is currently your best matchup by far, yet you choose to focus on Terran rather than your problem matchup PvZ. If you weren’t so fixated on Terran you might change this post to why can serral make 48-60 banelings or any zerg for that matter and just suicide them into your army for instant results. You are targeting the wrong people here bro.
Ravens are decent against Colossus openings but are lackluster otherwise. The main “issue” here isn’t that Ravens are bad in a vacuum, but rather you don’t really want a Starport with a tech lab attached against Protoss in early to mid game, as continuous production of Medivacs, Vikings (vs Colossus), and Liberators (transitioning into late game, with maybe some harassment) is so much more preferred.
Ravens are good vs warp prism harass, dt , disruptor
They can be used for haras, observer snipe, taking charge Argo.
Mixing -3 Armor with emp and bio you got no shield no upgrade Protoss before fight have been even started
Your opinions are so biased they aren’t even worth listening to. It’s like you just want your race to be as strong as possible and don’t care about balance.
If you’re not ahead in upgrades as protoss, there’s something wrong with what you’re doing. You have chronoboost which literally speeds up the research time by 50%.
Yes, because Terran SCVs are A) exposed when building, which protoss and Zerg workers are not, and B) have no form of self regeneration, where Drones heal by themselves, and probes have shield regeneration. The only “regeneration” they have costs minerals. Oh, and FYI, in broodwar, they had 60 HP.
Offset the break in worker production from the orbital command, as well as the constant SCV pulling for building and/or repairing. Until 3 base, this really isn’t an issue, and even then it only really becomes problematic when Terran is basically massing orbitals and can change out the majority of workers for Mules.
Eh… only en-mass, and they actually lose to a critical mass of Carriers on even upgrades. Realistically speaking, they’re only a soft counter, but hey, they do their job. You actually kinda have a leg to stand on here.
If you’re going mech, maybe. If you’re going bio, not really - purely off the basis that Hellbats absolutely suck with a bio army. They’re clunky and immobile, as well as being slow, which works against the bio-oriented playstyle.
Read: “[Ramza] doesn’t like that Terran can temporarily disable a single robotics unit for a short period of time.”
Ravens don’t kill anything except maybe workers if you’re slow to pull them away.
Indeed they do; they also shoot up, where marauders don’t, and they also get blink which is an incredible micro tool, making stalkers one of the most mobile and microable units in the game. Hence the increased cost.
If you’re slow at reacting maybe. Marauders actually serve better at tech sniping. Also, could you be any more vague?
And protoss has a cloaked flying unit that allows them to keep track of where units are and various areas on the map, as well as a spell that temporarily allows for vision over any tagged unit (which I believe didn’t need the reduction in duration, personally), both of which serve as effective detection.
Different races are different. Terran’s scouting relies almost entirely on drops and scans, the former of which requires a lot of active work and the latter of which is both situational and involves some prediction as to where tech will be, as well as a little bit of luck. It also means one less mule. Each race has it’s ups and downs, and Terran is no difference.
I haven’t really seen an honest attempt at Ravens in TvZ. Not being able to afford a Starport with tech lab, which is the excuse Terran players have constantly given over time, is no longer a valid excuse since Terran can easily afford a starport pumping BCs even while going for a quick 3CC build, as we’ve been seeing constantly this year.
On paper clearing creep for free is fantastic (it’s not like you have to worry about Queens after the nerf) and -3 armor can definitely flip a fight in your favour.
I’ve experimented with it some. It’s 1 less banshee or BC, making any roach timing harder to hold, or it delays your drop by nearly a minute, etc. The main thing is, it’s just an overpriced, more vulnerable observer. The spells are borderline useless in TVZ.
I’d actually like to mess with it a bit more personally. Early game I can see that being true, but when you get a 2nd starport for libs, I really don’t see a reason not to get at least one raven, especially if there are corruptors out. Being able to AAM corruptors would probably be the biggest difference, especially now they fixed the splash bug with libs, and being able to support bio against ultralisks with AAM I can imagine being pretty good too. It’d take a bit of skill to use effectively though, without weakening your own army simultaniously - that’s probably the biggest downside is that it’s such a double edged sword against melee units specifically - especially lings/zealots.
It’s just an excuse for Terran to whine about OP creeps, but but early roach timing we need banshee
Toss has been using observer combined with wrap prism to clear creep early game. Toss don’t make excuses and say “we rather use our robo to build immortal to stop early roach timing”
It’s okay to have a safety Raven for things like Infestor Neural, but still the spells are just awful. Libs need to be in ATG mode. AAM is still good for BC, but their time needs to be spent doing Yam.
Bottom line, hitting EMP, Yam, target firing Infestors with Tanks and Steady Targeting on Ultra/Brood are going to be what wins you a fight. AAM is as decent sprinkle in, but it’s just not high priority enough for me to bother.
