What it is like being a Zerg GM during ProtossCraft II

The projection here is amazing. The amount of salt flowing from your keyboard is biblical. Protoss is overpowered kid. Come to terms with it. Talk to a therapist if needs be.

Tell me which top 10 prize pool tourny did protoss win?

He is so much in denial

Adding on to this point in particular, the Korean Protoss dominance of small / medium sized tournaments is a very strong indicator that if the the region lock were removed, Protoss would utterly dominate premier events, too. The best protoss in the world aren’t even allowed into many of the premier events. Top EU Zergs/Terrans (who are more or less on par with the Koreans) have free pickings on the foreign premier/major events. There just aren’t any Foreign Protoss in the same universe in terms of skill as Serral. There are multiple Zergs/Terrans within spitting distance of Serral (Reynor, TIME, etc). Skill representation is 99% of the outcome of premier tournaments.

How can this be so? Protoss hasn’t won a GSL since 2017, or is it 2016? Haven’t won a blizzcon since S0S in 2015.

Please list some tournaments that Protoss has won in 2020. Are you talking about Wardi league or something?

They’ve won multiple major events. Stats won ASUS Rogue. Classic won GSL SuperTournament etc. Neeb and Astrea both pocketed the DH Masters premier events worth $40k each.

You can’t expect perfectly equal representation with small draw sizes. There’s just too few opportunities for every race to win in a tournament that only occurs once or twice a year. You can’t have every race have equal in representation at winning Blizzcon, when there’s only 1 each year. You can only have 1 race that wins it.

Let’s imagine that each race has equal odds of winning Code S and that there are 4 Code S in a year. What are the odds of Protoss not winning any?

There is a 20% chance Protoss won’t win a single one in a year. There’s just too few events. It says nothing about balance because there aren’t enough events to get a reliable average performance for each race.

From liquipedia:

Premier Tournaments offer an outstanding prize pool, are frequently played out offline, and feature the best players from all over the world. They are commonly held by well-established franchises and are considered especially prestigious amongst the community.

Not sure if DH should be considered as premier, prizepool is not very big, low amount of players, not the best of the world, and it’s not prestigious, but I guess it counts to say P won anything premier in 2020.

Premier events are events supported by the official blizzard esports program, no? They specifically broke up ESL into smaller events because the large tournaments were creating problems. Too few opportunities for pro players to win means only a few of the elite pro players win everything, which is not sustainable since the pro players need money to continue being pro players.

No, I think it mostly comes down to prizepool.

Yet teamliquid is listing ESL as premier despite smaller prize pools.

Yes, it’s is premier, but I think it shouldn’t be, it only has the prizepool for it. Major tournaments have a pool of around 15k and they have better players. That tournament would be free money for Scarlett if she wouldnt be a slacker.

That would disqualify the majority of premier events from being premier, since they restructured the tournament system to focus on more smaller events rather than a few large events. $15k is the new “big”.

Protoss have won 2.7% more tournaments this year than Zerg and 25.3% more than Terran! (644 to 627 to 514).
This is unacceptable!
Something must be done!

But I know two perfect solutions!

  1. Ban Krystianer. This kid is clearly unfair toward the community!

  2. We need to ban Vietnam Esport Scene.

It is clearly unfair, that Protoss have won Ao Dai Weekly 42 times, and Terran only twice! Twice! Can you believe that? Blizzard should have given Maru Vietnam citizenship long time ago! What balance team was doing this whole time?!?!?! Ao Dai Weekly clearly shows in how bad state Terran is as a competitive race and how broken Protoss is. Certainly Terran needs huge buffs.

Also Kas should get a medal of a Perfect Terran, he is really nicely representing Terrans in this difficult time and winning a lot of tournaments. Unlike TY, who have won only 4 tournaments this year. Shame on him. He should beg Kas to teach him how to be a good Terran player.

I am sure that suggested by me solutions would make SC2 Esport scene more fair and balanced.

You hit the nail on the head

Krystianer would also dominate every big tourny if he wouldnt be busy destroying the small cups.

Funny how this argument applies to disqualifying small/medium sized events, but magically doesn’t apply to large/premier events. That’s called a double standard, sweetie, and it obliterates your argument.

Small is the new big ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

By the way, your data is outdated/incomplete. The actual numbers are:

Terran: 741
Protoss: 885
Zerg: 856

I made an entire thread about it, but the PPP trolls mass reported it and it was removed (LOLOLOLOLOOL).

He have won 5 tournaments (over 60%) he attented previous week.
If a 16 years old kid who picks easiest race in the game can literally dominate EU esport scene, then you know the game is 100% dead.
Do you know anyone under 18 years old who can win a tournament while playing fair???

(Tbh I am heavily on Krystianer’s side, he is doing amazing job, and winning nicely on Dreamhacks EU)

Caught red handed in flagrant double standards and he just ignores it. Lmao. I have won this debate yuuuugely.
