Ever had a match in which an opponent of yours does something so ridiculously stupid that it ends up costing them the game and makes you think"Heh. What a moron". Share your stories here!
I was in a 4v4 today. I send a changeling into a base and there is this silver terran. He has a bunch of marines and several siege tanks. In an attempt to destroy the changeling he targets his command center and blows up his base, and several of his workers. Once he realizes what he has done he targets the actual changeling and then ragequits. We ended up winning the game a bit after this happened.

blame his team after getting destroyed by players 10x better than them and rage quiting.
blame me for losing when i have more units killed than everyone on my team put together because apparently is screwed up the wall and my base was sloppy and âthats why we lostâ

Honestly, the stupidest thing Iâve seen was in a PvZ where the protoss opponent stole one of my gasses in the main when I was doing a standard 16/18/17 1 gas opener

I once chased a bio-terran with 20 Maru, 12 Murdu and 4 Medevacs back behind his Bunkers at his NaturalâŠwith 4 Sentries.
It happened this way: The yappterran rushed to kill my third and was in sight of my batteries, i hallucinated 3 Disru and rushed the yappterran. He panicked and began to stim backwards in order to âescapeâ the friendly Disru.
By the middle of the map i created 3 more Hallucinated Disru.
The yappterran was so panicked that he forgot to Scan, soon 8 fake Disru were chasing the poor terran.
He arrived to his base unscathed.
When he saw the trick he was red with rage and rushed again with absolutely no fear to the 8 REAL DISRU that were waiting for the big party.
Kaboom.
Second time from the carnage only the 4 Medevacs escaped.
He left without gg.

Well if weâre talking about team games I love killing noobs with a good ol worker rush LOL they usually lose a third of their workers before they realize what happened
Not just team games. 1v1s too.
Once, I proxy hatched an opponent in team games and built a mass of spine crawlers, then walked them into the enemies base and rooted them, killing the main.
This was in HotS.

Thats rare to see and risky, but when it is successful it is a beauty to see.

He lifted his command center and abandoned the low ground after seeing a hatch first opener and 6 slow zerglings. Then on his stream he repeatedly denied that he lifted his CC until after he saw banelings.
Translation: he hacks.
given that that gas has a ridiculess amount of hp and can help with scouting it isnât really that bad to steal a gas in the early stage, it also helps with delaying ravager production until the nat hatch is established
stupid things i saw enemy doing was lifting cc/oc when some infested marines showed up while they had that rocket launcher, thus flying stuff took excessivly MORE damage
stupid things i have done ⊠there is plenty like building a macrohatch and injecting that hatch but donât have that hatch in the controlgroup
attacking hatches instead of injecting, i rebound inject to Q, attack is A
at certain times i dreaded reaching 44 suply since i usually get suppblocked at that time
massivly stupid game i played back in WoL was a PvZ where that protoss fooled me with an stalker sentry zealot push, he halluc a colossi and i focussed it down thus taking unessary damage and lost that game that way
speaking of good old days, not moronic as is but still a nice memory on my side : Ohana LE, PvZ he was massing rays and a mothership no pressure otherwise so i massed hydralisks and get the corresponding upgrades + burrow, saw him move out and i set up a trap
as his airforce entered the pressumed range of my hydras i unburrowed them and got rid of those rays
another moronic thing, PvZ had some DT pestering around my hydra bane ling army, no oversser in sight ⊠so i mannually detonated my banes 20ish to get rid of 2 DT
Thatâs probably the most nonsense thing a player can do, other things can be done because several reasons even if they end not well, but stealing a gas against a race that uses almost no gas at the start of the game and the race that always rushes a unit that can attack?, and even if you donât kill the gas, by the time you need gas you just get the gas at the nat.
Many other times when Iâm doing 1 gas builds with other races and I see the gas stealing, is almost the same, they are not delaying anything and they will lose 75 minerals.
Other thing is pylon block on the naturalâŠagainst T, they feel smart when they put a pylon thinking that it will cause you to distance mining, would love to see their faces when all you have to do is planting the OC next to the pylon, kill the pylon and once the pylon is destroyed, relocate the OC by lifting it.
Twist on the thread: reply to the most moronic post youâve seen.
Quite some time ago Iâve played a terran with a default avatar and no league border displayed. Statistically this strongly increases the chances for him to be a smurf, so I went for a reaper cheese. Instead of replying to my GLHF, he started to spam

etc. Every ten seconds. It gold old fairly quickly, but that informed me that he had issues. So I went in with my first reaper, on Submarine, but his marines were already in position at the entry I chose. So I went for the other, and there saw two bunkers, while the guy hadnât expanded, and was full-walling the naturalâs front entry (despite it being very large, and while no one does that in early TvT). His build also didnât make sense. And each time I moved my reapers at one entry; the marines were there before. This, while not having scouted in the least (not even a reaper or a SCV), and while he was trying to insult me, sold me the guy as a hacker.
But thereâs a third reaper entry in Submarine. So I went at the one at the opposite side, waited for him to position his marines, and then completely changed of destination by going for the third entry. Of course, seeing through the fog of war, he saw my movement and tried to unload the bunkers before I reached it, but it was too late.
I guarantee he stopped spamming his **** instantly. He revealed unable to handle four miserable reapers in his base, and did ragequit. After the game, I discovered he was diamond 1, and had, as I suspected massive amounts of freeloses in his history.
So to sum-up, a diamond 1 managed to get beaten by a simple platinum player, despite smurfing, despite his hacks, ; got run-by after full walling, and did ragequit after taunting and calling BM a perfectly polite opponent. If thatâs not moronic I donât know what is.
Welcome to the smurfs zoo.

- Stealing gas DOES give visionâŠin one stationary location. It also costs minerals you donât get back. Conversely: A probe can scout anywhere and doesnât add an additional mineral tax.
- Scouting a hatch first with a gas/pool followup means I literally will not have ravagers or even roaches until well after my nat would be finished. You donât take your second gas in the main until youâve fully saturated your third and are taking your fourth usually in that scenario which means you lose minerals and prevent literally nothing.
Bottom line: The ONLY reason to gas steal against a Zerg is if youâre also doing a cannon rush or proxy 4 gate and you want to ensure they canât get a second gas for roaches/nydus; none of which was my opponent doing.

Yeah blocking the nat against a Terran is just pointless. You see it even at the professional level and I question it every time because it doesnât impact the Terran economy hardly at all.
What you see every time is the probe patrolling on the expansion slot in order to delay the CC, pylon blocks are much more infrequent at pro level. They wonât prevent the 2nd CC being built though, but will force the terran to reveal his first units and keep them at home until the pylon is destroyed. Not as worth as vs Z, but may have its perks depending on the situation.
true but a probe also doesnât have 600 hp in total so yeah it is a tradeoff also not as expensive mineral wise like a cannonrush f.e.
gotta agree it more a nuisence in normal hgp openings but still it isnât as moronic as ppl make it out to be, i mean that probe in location to be able to gasteal is scouting anyway so that mineral loss from mining doesnât affect it, also that probe can setup the warpin and continue after that pretty easily so that 75 minerals are are more like pay more moneys to get a time advantage over terran where scv are bound to construct the whole time or in case of zerg to replenish the drone
75 minerals shouldnât delay anything too much compared to a cannonrush which is 250 minerals, 1pylong +1 cannon, not to mention additional stuff if necessary to make a wallin or the necessary forge which is additional 150 minerals due to the fact that you shouldnât go for a forge THAT early other than to be able to cr enemy natural location so yeah compared to that 400 minerals minimum you can spare those 75 mins easily
Yeah, if youâre gonna be a dick to Zerg you might as well block the nat with an ebay or cannon rush it, timing the cannons so they finish just after the hatch finishes.
Gas stealing vs Zerg just means theyâll make 4 lings - and now not only are you out of the 75 minerals for the gas but youâve also ceded early map control.
75 minerals is substantial in the beginning of the gameâŠ
It also isnât even an annoyance, itâs just a donation. It lets me know I would struggle to underestimate the opponent.
