What determines speed of warp-ins?

Just wondering something that probly has an answer right under my nose.

What determines the speed of gateway units warping in? I’ve been playing a bit and not paying attention too much, I’m just curious why sometimes stuff takes AGES to spawn for me and sometimes it is really quick.

Is it distance from Nexi or how many pylons you have close? I don’t get it. Thanks in advance!

It is whether Pylon has Warp conduit enabled or not. Teal power field means warp-in is faster, while standard blue power field means warp in is slow.
Exception is Warp Prism, which has fast warp ins by default.

Pylons get Warp Conduit enabled (fast warp in) if either:
a) they are close to the Nexus
b) they are powering up a Warp Gate
When placing new Pylons, if you have Warp Gate researched, you’ll be able to see when the power field changes color during placement.

The Pylon’s distance from a nexus or warpgate determines it. If it is close enough it is considered a superpylon and can warp in units at 4 seconds. otherwise it takes 11 seconds. You can tell the difference when you see the power grid. Light blue is super. Regular blue is not.

Hi.
Does the Super Pylon work in Original Starcraft or Starcraft remastered?

No. SC1 didn’t have warping.
