What are Niche units in Co-op?

Speaking of ladder, I wondered how will ladder players play on Co-op games. Beginners will struggle yes (new units, new abilities, new mechanics) but when they become more accustomed to it, I think they could have even better skill than experienced co-op only players because of they have better control reflexes.

I actually had a GM player doing Zagara last year, I believe it was around lv 50? It wasn’t the best Zag player I’ve seen but it did solid and got +3 upgrades fast.

I got suprised because it’s rare to see a frequent ladder player doing coop, let alone GM lol.
