War Chest Graphics Lagging (Mac)

This issue has previously been reported years ago.

All other menus in the game “Campaign, Co-op, Versus, Custom, Collection, Replays” do not have this issue. Even under Collection, the loading of the display units do not lag. The only one with lag is the War Chest. This has been ongoing since the start of the first war chest. I have reported it previously, and it was confirmed by a Blue post (I can’t seem to find that post anymore). Furthermore, I have specially called in the helpline for assistance. The only thing they told me to do was to recreate another post (which I did). I even did it every 6 months, but no news at all (did it for 3 additional posts).

I understand that SC2 is a dwindling game so there are lesser developers on it. I don’t expect massive changes or improvements or even content. But the War Chest is a paid feature. The least I would’ve expect the War Chest to do is to work properly (without lag, especially since none of the other elements in the game are having the same lag).

I am also not expecting this to be fixed overnight. But considering the first War Chest was released mid 2017 with this problem and it is not fixed up till now (3 years) is a massive disappointment. The least that could be done is to keep users updated on the progress and give a rough estimate on when it is planned to be fixed.

As of this post, the best part is that the War Chest 6 has totally disappeared from my menu. I do expect at least some form of reply soon or I will be disputing my transaction.

The War Chest option in the menu is back. However, the graphics are still lagging.

Moved this from Mac Technical Forums to Bugs Forums (as per instructions by Technical Specialist Ekield).

Tried the following as instructed by Support:

  • Used VPN (issue not resolved)
  • Used different network (issue not resolved)
  • Tried windowed mode (issue not resolved)
  • Tried lower graphics / resolution (issue not resolved)
  • Tried new user (admin) account (issue not resolved)
  • Update to latest MacOS (unable to test as Mac is old and I would prefer not to upgrade and lose 32 bit apps for now)

Taking this into consideration, it is likely I wouldn’t be able to accomplish covering all bases until I get my new Mac.

Hope these info will help others who may be facing the same issue.

Hopefully these will help, and if not I would just make sure that you have reported this as a bug on the Bug Report forums. The more reports from Mac players that are experiencing this better.
