In game menu is missing Voice chat button . how can I eliminate this problem so that I can communicate with other players.

A while back, chat functionality was moved to the game launcher so that it could be used for all the games. Thus it was removed from SC2 itself.

I noticed that, but the problem is that even if I have my devices (Sound Blaster X H6) set in the game launcher and the Transmission mode is set to OPEN MIC, no one can hear me in the game. Can you help me with this, thank you.
PS: when I tested the microphone it worked fine
The only thing I can think of is to make sure you have the Output and Input devices set properly (the drop downs above the Transmission Mode).
I tested it out just now and when I set everything correctly I was able to hear and be heard.
I don’t think it was “moved” to the launcher, the menu item in the settings seems to have been just hidden.
When I launch the game it starts using system default microphone (even when set it to different microphone or None in the launcher) which also switches bluetooth headset into handsfree mode (which has mono low quality sound, or even no sound at all because the default output device remains the “headphones” even afer headphones swithing to “headset”).
In the past one could set different mic in the game. It would still switch to headset after every launch but just entering the voice chat settings menu without changing anything would switch it back into headphones. That is no longer possible, because the menu is nwo hidden.
Another option is to disable microphone for all desktop appliactions in windoes, which includes SC2, but also other apps where I might want to use microphone.

When I say moved, I just mean that at some point chat was built into the launcher and the ability to chat in SC2 was removed. So moved, as in, Bliz changed where the funtionality resides.
I agree that the menu item was just hidden. The microphone and bluetooth issues are known but with SC2 being out of development, it’s not known if it will ever be fixed.
