You literally can’t stop talking to people like they’re the help, can you?
Not when they behave like you do i cant. Demonstrate some integrity and maybe youll get some respect.
Point to my lack of integrity, Kelthar, and admit you were wrong about Batz being paranoid.
Well, theres the time that you accused me of being another poster just because tEhbAtZ did it first, the time you accused me of trolling because i asked a question that you/he couldnt answer, and now all these times youre devolving into personal attacks against my character instead of answering the fairly simple question of why, if Batz’s claim is true, we have any zerg pros left at all. Do you think theyre all stupid? Is there secretly a contract you sign when you main zerg that turns you into a masochist? Or perhaps he’s just wrong, and you all know it and dont want to admit it was a dumb thing to say?
That guy literally admitted to being an alt account, and for the person batz said he was. Can you just admit that you were wrong about his paranoia? Can you just admit that, in a strong move of 'tegridy, kelthar?
Kobain said that just because you’re paranoid, don’t mean they’re not after you, and you’re such a keyboard warrior that you just can’t leave his threads alone. You’re one of the top posters in nearly every thread batz makes
If that were the only person he had done it too, sure. But he does it to everybody who disagrees with him. I linked to a half dozen different people he’s accused of being anesthetic since the forums changed over. So unless evidence comes out that yes, literally the only other poster on these forums besides batz is anesthetic, he’s paranoid and has serious issues.
Im a compulsive smart@ss and batz is an easy target because he just cannot under any circumstances admit he is wrong. I dont follow him around or anything, but since he cant seem to help himself but make dumb threads every so often, i feel no particular need to remain silent whenever i happen to see him start off on something obviously dumb either. He doesnt seem to be incapable of critical thought, just unwilling, and i do frankly agree with him more often than not on the extremely rare occasion he posts about something other than how good terran has it over zerg. He just QQ’s so much more that those moments get drowned out.
If he didnt argue like a kindergartener, i doubt anybody would have much of an issue with him. But he does, and apparently doesnt want to admit to himself that it makes him unpopular.
I appreciate the irony but in many cases a highly intelligent poster can recognize other posters even under different names.
How probable can be that an weird number of people with deep knowledge of statistics-probability can just by chance crowd a game-forum?
Also patterns in speech formation can give-away somebody fairly-easy (if that somebody does not mask that intentionally).
Intelligent guys can tell apart a Hugo, Balzac, Tolstoy, Dostoewskij, Dikens just by reading a page taken by chance from their books without knowing beforehand what book they are reading.
The same can be done here to a grat extent for the majority of the posters.
Did you miss the part where I’ve openly mentioned this was my alt before?
Considering that we are all basically nerds, and computer nerds at that, its less improbable than you think. Im also not sure that a single digit number of relatively educated people counts as “an weird number”. At least basic statistics courses are required for a fair number of tech degrees.
Kelthar obviously missed it, and I noticed you stopped liking his posts.
It’s not only that. The profile of each of us is so much more than the level of proficiency in a narrow academic discipline. One can have a rather precise idea of what can be expected from a Jonus, BatZ, Beserk, VichelChaos, Kelthar, Goba, Crusader, Kiwi, DrFuzz, DankTemplar, Playa etc etc.

Changing like/dislike strategy here for such reasons or just because one has a clash with somebody is not a good sign of integrity. There can be people that one can’t stand personally but for the sake of one’s intellectual integrity, one is “forced” to like some posts even if they are posted by the “opposition”.
I mean, i guess? Strong personalities are strong, and all that. Not really sure what your point is now. I was just addressing your specific claim of improbability of the prevalence of a specific field of knowledge.
(And yes, im aware that my choice of words is one of my tells, so to speak)
How probable can be that an weird number of people with deep knowledge of statistics-probability can just by chance crowd a game-forum?
Not that high considering its only me and nomufftootuff (and he hasn’t posted in a while).
Tehbatz has made statements like
The sampling distribution is the distribution of a given sample
Which show a huge misunderstanding of the fundamentals of statistics.
This statement is now a meme on a stats discord server im on because of how absurd it is.
and I noticed you stopped liking his posts.
I haven’t had time to respond fully since I’m in the middle of playing some video games.

A lot of these people have been here for years and have known each other for years, if you go through our history you can see that me and Kelthar have had our fair share of arguments 5+ years ago.
Not to mention the fact that I very rarely post and only actively participate in discussions when it has to do with statistics (statistics in video games are something im pretty interested in) which would be obvious if you looked at my post history.
call them cheaters. It’s all good fun. I
You stole that personality trait from Avilo…
Noice ZvP is Protoss favored. That sentence alone is so far away from the truth
4 Protoss in the top 10 in Korea and foreign scene. Just because people claim Protoss is weak doesn’t make it true.

Nomufftotuff claimed to be a professor of statistics for Berkley in California. Anesthetic was losing a debate about statistics like usual when suddenly I mention how he acts exactly like nomufftotuff and then nomufftotuff’s account resurrects to post for the first time in years, in the middle of night in California, during a weekday, 2 minutes later. He then proceeded act and post exactly like anesthetic. Anesthetic was a troll from the old forums who would post on multiple accounts. He’s known for doing this.
A) what you were saying wasn’t right and B) what I said is only wrong in the most petty interpretation of “sample’s” vs “sampling”. It’s hard figuring out what you mean because you try to be as vague as possible because when you aren’t vague you butcher definitions left and right. Then when someone doesn’t understand what you meant, you attack them for having made a mistake while you are oblivious to the gargantuan mistakes you’ve made (even when they are explained to you in detail). This is classic Anesthetic trolling and it’s exactly how nomufftotuff posted.
You’ve been obliterated on every talking point but you’re virtue signalling how you won the debate and are smarter on the basis of confusion THAT YOU CREATED between “samples” vs “sampling”. Lmao.
Flack was right about you.
