Unable to detect Optimal graphic setting

Since the patch to 5.0.11 last week, whenever i start SC2 from my Macbook Pro (Ventura 13.5.1 / Intel ), it will go into “brand new” mode, ie video intro and default resolution (1600x1200).

I’m using my ultrawide 34" monitor as Extended. Resolution has always been 3440x1440 (Windowed, Fullscreen). My graphic is Radeon Pro 5600M. Been playing for mths/yrs using this same monitor and MBP without issues.

In “Options”, it can detect “Radeon Pro 5600M” yet I have to manually set this resolution every single time I start the game.

There are a few other issues but mostly in Direct Strike.

  • Lost all Mastery Points. Reset to zero every single game, even when I did not log out of SC2.
  • Cosmetic changes are reset every game, eg changed Gas to another theme.
  • Win / Played Stats are reset to zero every game too.

Not sure if anyone on Mac Ventura / Intel MBP facing this issue?

Hello,

I have the same error message and all my settings has been reseted.
Each time I launch the game, I lost every custom settings.

Have you found a solution to your issue ?

I just reinstall SC2 + update my graphic pilot but it’s not better … :frowning:

Same here (but Windows OS), obviously since last patch.

Still having this problem myself scanning and repairing usually worked, but today it’s not working. Settings keep resetting to default.

that suggests that the game is unable to save the options data. running the game as administrator should solve the issue.
