How I can do anything else when I play bio and first ultralisks pops out at 8 min mark and all I have are mass barracks, 1 factory and 1 starport? Sure, I can instantly product tanks and liberators but when opponent will be reaching my base I will not even havve two of them. My early aggression is stopped by pure queen/speedlings and few banelings aswell. Great balance.
So literally currently my TvZ in low master looks like this: I open bio then try to do some early dmg but its all defended by queens only then I do two medivacs harass to kill some drones. I got like 5-10 drones cool, then retreat and I’m doing the first push (thats about 8 min mark). Then I reach the enemy base and… TOO LATE GAME OVER ULTRALISKS ARE ALREADY THERE WOLOLO! so much fun to play
Why arent you asking why he has a hive at 8 min

Scout better instead to sticking blindly to your initial plan and disregarding your opponent’s strategy? Advancing completely blind and wishing for the best isn’t how you should approach this game.

How scout can do anything in this situation? I reaper scout everygame and as long as it’s not some kind of greedy build that can be punished then it’s always hatch expo then pool. You want me to not build anything until I see enemy units? How it’s even possible? It’s the zerg that can switch tech easily. I need to start with bio opener or mech opener and when I open bio and zerg is just holding all early pressure by queens and mass speedlings and purely rushing into ultralisks I’m just dead no matter what I will do.
scan the main every so often

I misunderstood what u said
Im not sure voidrays have a niche in the protoss army that isnt better filled by existing units
Immortals counter armored ground really hard. Storm and archon deal with mass air. Carriers and tempests are unambiguously better than vrs late game since they arent countered as hard by splash damage. So im not sure what vrs are even supposed to achieve other than a gold league cheese option
Small zerg units should be able to run under ultras to avoid too much collision derpiness… thats so obvious to me im surprised it is not already the case
