TvT has become much worse than it used to be.
Especially mech vs bio.
Bio used to have an advantage early game and in the mid game while mech had an advantage in the late game. But nowadays the bio player can easily transiton into mech in the mid game and skyterran in the late game.
Getting stim and combat shield and double bio upgrades does not hinder the bio player the slightest from slamming down several factories and starports in the mid game.
So the bio player has the advantage early game and in the mid game, and has no disadvantage in the late game. It is called eating your cookie and having it too, and it should not work like that.
Every playstyle should have advantages and disadvantages but bio into mech currently has no disadvantages in TvT.
lol even terran players are complaining about mech… but no it’s not op.
if you start investing in a mech transition in the mid game its going to still take you another 15 minutes to ramp that mech build up to where you want.
Its a big tech switch and for a lot of players in higher leagues it may not be viable since the devil is in the details. Your upgrades are going to be late as well.
Lower leagues it might be viable since most players worker count is inefficient, etc etc. making bigger mistakes more often etc.
The biggest issue with what your saying is that you actually cannot have your cake and eat it too.
Doesn’t matter if you go mech or bio, it comes down to whoever has more tank viking. And sure, you do need a meat shield for your tanks, but you’re not gonna stim 100 marines into 10 sieged tanks. TvT is such a painful matchup
