- If protoss doesnt have detection they can just lose as well, same for zerg.
- Terran eco is very janky with the mules, its been that way
-Terran can make 3 bases too, its not like Protoss has much when taking their third, Protoss usually is getting charge and their gateways up or Collosus. Nobody makes terran stay on 2 base and build up and go for an attack.
Its easier to macro with toss imo and I would think for most people because of the synergy of making zealots, then gas on HT’s or archons and less setup for their splash damage.
Precisely! If you do not have Obs/Oracles is game over. If you have them, the time to move the Obs or Oracle and cast Revelation is not 0 (like the Scan). Precious seconds are lost and usually make a ton of difference. Also Overseers/Obs/Oracles can be sniped and should be replaced that usually takes 10-20 seconds…
Yep, I lost to proxy tech lab starport mass banshee with a raven and a viking after he saw a pheonix and a oracle on Stasis LE once, had a oracle that did get a tag, but messed up and it died, then recalled but observers died and my cannon at my nat…then all my stalkers and it was game…Terran on one base, turtling, was going over to attack him…
If protoss doesnt keep atleast a little ahead in eco they will be behind, against Terran you need those minerals especially. Even on 3 base against Terran, like, you know, the main and nat start mining out pretty quick.
Against zerg its another story, a more advanced army is needed and what you do with gas and keeping your strong units alive, super important…T1 units suck when outnumbered as protoss.
Macro decisions…you want to stop macro to go for a big attack? maybe even an All-in? whats the response then? is it scouted? how do the engages start? etc. down in the game? can try to make some comeback moves and terran and zerg IMO easily the races which can make moves that can wipe mineral lines. Terran has a thing called a freakin sensor tower, zerg has creep and overlords. Protoss has to use units or pylons.
I just read a bunch of excuses on why having more resources than Terran is important. Basically you don’t want to have to play TVP on an equall playing field where you have to decide whether its better to expand or get a few units or perhaps fast tech. you want to be able to do 2 at the same time while terran has to make a critical decision.
If you are equal with terran bases it does not mean you are behind. it means you have to play on an equal playing field and then we can see who is better. protoss players are not better because they can sacrifice their army and then remax in seconds because you have more resources
Maybe I can give one more reason. Protoss unit is too rock and have many AOE( Area of effect) combat unit that make them combat so more ez then other race. They got battery shield so they can build 10-20 battery then retreat more ez.
Maybe open starport after baracks but vikings and medivac and other stuff and upgrades from starport tech lab should require a factory to make.
Armory and Fusion should also require Factory as well.
So i can micro w/ Medivac and bio and dont need to pull scv for early agression and have early viking specially for that proxy Robo.
Maybe if basicallly clueless no idea what to change make bunkers 100% moneyback …LOL
T v T might make the game more tactical . Since you can access vikings and medivac with bio. the factory 1st before factory will be more defensive.
T v Z might save you from all ins kill Zergs vision but they wont basically die to starport with just vikings and medivac being open. Noobs low apm micro benefits from it . Like specially that roach ravager openings that is hard to counter.
Smart Servos on helion and viking should come by default .
Nerf hallucination spell should be able to cast units that is actually open for him to example if enemy has no Starport he can’t make hallucinated phoenix. If he doesnt have a robo with robotics facitlity he can’t hallucinated Colossus.
Make Ravens cast Scanner Sweep . Let me mule more in the mid game let it be upgrade to cast like (100/100) if i make bad trades with Toss and Zerg in the mid game can still continue. Gives me more vision in how to attack toss or zerg. Without changing much on their side thats ruins up balance.
Give my Raven repair Drones back so that PB and Fungal combo would not be an issue combo would not be an issue. I have no offense about the fungal having damage since its a ground unit fungal takes risk and lets face it devs no clue they already made infested terrans an anti air arsenal from the last changed they made its probably best to leave it alone .
About terran economy vs Toss yes it basically feels that way but watching pro terrans on streams seems fine And it basically feels like a L2P issue .
And honestly feels like a repetitive game same opener’s everytime thats why TvP is kind of very bad since your basically doing same time over and over then toss makes a decision to take an early game agression all you do is just dig a whole in your base and if you make response so bad its basically 1 base to 3 and 2 base to 4 before you leave your base and its 1/1 upgrades vs 2/2 toss . Remember that proxy cyclones all in from last time it made Toss give 2nd thoughts of going offensive play and gives terran some more space at early stages of the game but now they have nothing to be afraid of and basically honestly that is the main issue. Try playing against toss make proxy every game. even if he cannon rush you a proxy opening still wins pull svc fly your cc then kill probes with reaper rax make a proxy factory make tanks fly the rax but u will basically lose to your multi tasking skills and that 1st reaper die without accomplishing anything. TvP is hard but it feels so good to win if you won the match up but so boring for them so i pity them more.
What i honestly hate about TVP is having to PULLING SCV from the mineral line the whole early game to mid game push with the BOYS then quit because it feels i had too. If it doesn’t tax me that much to scv scout from the start from the game if a probe pokes at the early stages of the game like i have to pull an scv to protect making that scv and scout with an scv. This is why i miss Flash playing starcraft 2 .
This sounds crazy but give me an extra one scv from the start of the game. So i can scout enemy base from the start of the game I dont really know if it will basically break the game or what make such a big impact to balance.
