Tricked into activating Prestige, GM can't help

I recently activated a Prestige talent for Karax in Starcraft 2. This was my first time trying out Prestige. While it was clearly stated that the commander would be reset to level 1, it was NOT clear that you would not be able to freely choose which prestige talent was activated (I did not want the first one at all). I severely misunderstood what I was asked, and would have kept my Karax at lvl 15 had I known. I submitted a ticket, asking this to be reversed and got this response:

"Thanks for reaching out to Blizzard, this is Game Master , I will be gladly assisting you today with the account.

I understand your frustration regarding the Prestige talent activation for Karax in Starcraft 2. Unfortunately, once a Prestige talent is activated, it is a permanent decision and cannot be reverted or retracted. This is clearly stated in our guidelines.

While I know this might be disappointing, you can continue to level up your commander again to unlock other Prestige talents. Your feedback about the clarity of the warnings is valuable, and I recommend submitting it through the in-game feedback option or our official forums.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Hope you have an awesome day!"

So , unless I missed an indicator somewhere, I was essentially tricked into wasting all the hours I out into leveling, and Blizzard’s response is basically “Whoops, sucks to be you, better grind some more”. Severely dissapointed, and I write this as a warning so noone else has to suffer this fate.

You can switch to standard (P0) Karax if you don’t want to play with P1. If you reset again with P2 and P3 you can also switch back to P0 or P1 (if you unlocked P2) and P0/P1/P2 (if you unlocked P3). You’re not forced to level up with the newly unlocked prestige.

Also, you’re 4 years too late with your “warning”. Majority of regular coop players have probably unlocked all prestiges and remaxed by now.

It’s been a while, but iirc, when you go to unlock a new prestige, aren’t all the ones below the next one grayed out, as in unselectable? Meaning they can’t be picked out of order, even if one tries to? Plus, is there a big orange confirmation window that has a cancel if one doesn’t want to proceed (for any reason)?

That’s pretty much the indication that they have to be done in order. (Unless I’m remembering wrong.)

You won’t regret it because karax p1, p2, and p3 are far superior to p0.

Same here where it’s been a while…
It tells you that when you activate the prestige, you’ll lose access to Mastery and reset back to lv1.
It asks again if you’re really sure this is what you want

However, it doesn’t state they must be done in order. The way they’re listed may mak it look like you have a choice.

I suppose it would’ve been nice to explicitly mention that the next prestige level will be activate (and not one of your choice).* I know I was among the many that asked the same question

Karax was my first choice in going through all 3 prestiges. DISCLAIMER that he is on my mains, but FWIW, all of his prestiges do offer something for everyone!
