Too many auto-leave bots in co-op?

i’ve tried 6 times to play co-op today, in different times of the day. the 5 of the 6 times the player instaquitted like a bot and 1 of the times he was afk for the entire game
please do something, add a 30 min cooldown for leaving the game or something, this is unplayable

edit: 7th game guy is afk

Are you leveling up a sub 15 commander?

level 11 stet
8th game and i finally got to play. if this ratio of 7 bots to 1 real player keeps up i think we can declare co-op dead and no more new maps/commanders are needed until a system to ban these bots is made

I doubt it’s that many bots and more allies that don’t like sub mastery team mates. If it’s still an issue once you hit mastery with Stetmann then maybe think its a bot issue.

If someone AFKs for the game you can report for griefing.

I think it is more your teammates insta leave and re-que because they don’t like an under leveled stetman… or even Stetman in general he turns the game to a slide show… I’ve played 4v4 on ultra with different carrier armies and it didn’t kill my game as hard as late game stetman has.

I feel sorry for what you’ve experienced.

i have never seen or experienced this in coop sc2.

hopefully its not as prevalent as you experienced.

After carrying mostly useless lvl 1 -5 statmenns for days with my other commaders, I started to insta leave if I was matched with them. They even queued in brutal mutas. Some of those players were unable to take expo 10 minutes in the game, or defend single atack wave. I dont mind helping with leveling commanders, but Im not interested into carrying countless lazy players, who just wanna level fast, with zero cotribution to the game.

As others have said, it’s far more likely that this is real players making the decision to quit because either i) you’re under-levelled in their eyes and they don’t want to/can’t carry you; ii) they have lag issues with Stetmann which seems commonplace; or iii) they just don’t want to play with yet another Stetmann.

Important to note though that I’ve been levelling Stetmann too over the past few days and haven’t run into any of these issues (EU server); I’ve only had two people quit on me and both apologised before doing so, saying they hate the map (one was CoD and the other was VP). I’ve stuck to hard so far (after a few normal runs at the really low levels), so maybe that has something to do with it too.

I came back after like a 6 month break and after i played like 4 games , not even one hi , hello , gg , nice game or something. Im not against this F2P experience but the game brought too many toxic players , plus if i see my ally wont do well in the game then i also play bad. Kind of sad what happened with SC 2 , plus playing mutliplayer from 5 games i had 2 insta wins and other 2 were like afkers too.

If it’s Stetmann I will usually leave, esp if they are under-leveled as others have pointed out it completely wrecks my system with his lag; and yes I have a good PC and even tried turning down settings much lower.
No change.

Also, what difficulty are you queuing up on?
If I am playing brutal and a lvl 1-7-ish pops up the vast majority of the time they end up just wasting both our times, in expectation they are going to lvl faster on brutal.

I don’t mind trying to help people either as others have helped me, but I am not a pro god-like player yet.

This usually as well. I will never leave a hard because hard, imo is easy as cake regardless the lvl of your teammate.

The Stetmann lag issue unfortunately does not care about difficulty.

Playing 7 games isn’t a whole lot of detail. You need to play over 20 games to see if there’s a problem at hand. You have no way of knowing if you’re facing a bot there’s no signs to let you know. It’s most likely players leaving for reason.

Being afk doesn’t mean they’re a bot. It’s hard to know if they’re afk and incorrect to come to the forums to label them being afk. Some players will wait until they have a certain amount of minerals or gas or both to act. Just because they’re not following your way of play style doesn’t mean they’re afk or doing it on purpose or a bot. So, watch the replay is a good thing so you can to see what you miss.

Be careful of labeling players a bot on here because it will seems like you’re bashing them for their playstyle that is different from yours. This type of thing can get you in trouble.

If they’re afk on purpose not just afk there’s a difference. A lot of times players will jump the gun of this because they’re not following a player play style, orders which is toxic, what they want that player to do, and etc. This is an issue for younger players who’re learning the ropes of team and I.

There’s a high chane a player isn’t watching all of the other player movements this can be due to different heros a player is playing. Heros that have extra or generate energy for the spear of adun will sometimes wait until they have enough or use that energy elsewhere on the map where another player eyes isn’t at. For mastery a player can win the map like rift to khol by using their energy to destroy the crystals without making any units. Then to defend when needed.

Players taking time to figure out how stuff works isn’t afk that’s learning. There will be players who’re slow at learning so they will take their time and may seems like they’re afk. Other times some players will purposely do nothing base on how the other player is treating them like rushing or tearing them down to play like another playstyle should be. This is toxic and afk is an lesson to that toxic to show a player doesn’t have to do what another player order them to do. This is a safe way to teach an toxic player a lesson to treat their teammate better.

Another case will be different languages which I have encounter a lot of this regardless of my co op hero. Another is players who like to do the work without talking and their actions will tell what they’re doing I’m one of those players. There’s nothing wrong with it it’s another way to speak to a team. Others like to talk it out.

Exactly. Someone who is just slow or follows strange build orders may just be learning, or testing something, or whatever else. True AFK griefing is different and fortunately rather rare.

I’ve never encountered something like this. I’ve gotten a lot of matches where my partner does absolutely nothing which is annoying. I don’t care carrying people if they are sub lvl 15, but at least TRY to do something. I rarely ever leave since I can manage on my own.

Happened the Same when leveling Stetmann

I think the issue is that the majority of the coop players are not skilled enough to carry brutal missions, plus the stetmann lag issue which can be more devastating compared to amon forces, that they quit as soon as they saw a low level stetmann had paired with them.

Pretty much this.
I’m decent but I cannot carry a low lvl player on brutal yet, esp if it’s Stetmann.

Stetmann lags people, this is the reason why I don’t play much anymore, if I run into a Stetmann I would just leave. I could care less about low level, in fact I would prefer it since the games can usually be soloed.
