Look at that, since 2018 Protoss has huge lead in gm representation because:
-it is too easy to play
-economy is broken for protoss in LOTV, protoss get fully saturated third, when terrans just finished and than he gets:
- tech lead
- economy lead
- unit count lead
- upgrade lead
-gateways shouldn’t autohotkey, imagine if all barracks autohotkeyed!
-gateways shouldn’t autotransform!
-obs unaffected by f2 is okay i guess, but you shouldn’t get more vision, you can cover whole middle of map with just 4-5 obs and if you make one pylon, or have like 1-2 zealots on map, you need like 2-3 only, NOW who says Protoss has worst map vision ?
-LOTV Chrono Boost is too easy to multi task with, it last almost 2 times longer, while it is of same efficiency as HOTS chrono boost, at least until late game, because you get one for free per nexus
-mass chargelot takes not skill, because they faster than marines…
-playing gasless takes no skill
-Protoss has to many options: builds and all ins!
-especially in TvP you don’t know what protoss is doing, reaper can’t scout after first commitment to the base, even 1 adept can kill that and if you wait, he will have units there and you won’t scout anything… While tos gets scout using: obs,hallucination, or blink - he knows what are you doing, but terran has problem to figure out, if it is gateway spam, colossus, or chargelot archon immortal etc. And scan sets you behind besides, it is like 1:5 you scout anything…

Protoss has been nerfed to the ground. What more do you want? They are the only race that has ever had their core unit touched and it was a massive nerf. At this point with charge being nerfed and the new EMP, its time everyone learns to play.

They wanna remove Protoss so that the dirty Protosses can retire and get a life instead of playing Terrancraft.
As a protoss player I’m fine with the changes you proposed.
Remove Protoss ? Protoss is dominating gm and even on pro play has win rates better, than since long long time! Even TvZ is over 50% in favor of tos and PvT is sitting on 53-54 2 years by now!
Well no protoss will care about how the winrates are supposedly if our tier 1 tosses are not beating tier 1 Terrans. As far as i can tell Protoss is not going to win anything of value this year and NO its not because protosses have worse players.
meanwhile Terran has won 8 gsl out of 12 in lotv and the majority against protoss, with this 52 55% and we had our 2nd tvt finals of gsl in less then1 year, LMAO

Kr: Stats, Trap, PartinG, Zest. Classic and herO before. But matter is toss has not won a $100K dollar tournament in LOTV i think and I really don’t think thats due to toss having weaker players.
Like Sure I agree at lower league Protoss is certainly favored against Terran but at the top the tier 1 tosses are not winning at all.

Protoss biggest major event kr or not kr was Neeb’s 3rd WSC in 2017, 3 and a half years ago
Charge was a net buff, though.
The issue is, that when you say 4.0 hit, every Protoss and his brother became GM overnight. They’ve dominated GM for years, but they can’t win a tournament. Protoss also started doing well in the tournament scene and what happened? 7 Protoss players made it into the round of 8 and then they got nerfed.
You have to make the race harder while also making it stronger.
so once 6 terrans make it to the round of 8, we should expect nerfs right ?
You are correct, but a Terran still won that tournament. Sure Protoss was overperforming that much is true, but at the same time it was after a patch and people really didn’t give it enough time to adapt to the new strategies. Not saying they weren’t imba they certainly were at the time, but overtime those kinds of tricks always get weaker. Just a year ago everyone was doing allins and now we are back to macro games because most allins are figured out. Time in a way does remedy balance, now i 100% agree Zerg needed nerfed, 2 years of straight zerg wins is telling. I just think Protoss might have gotten the short end of the stick this time.
1st of all, I will never understand why you people complain about auto gate way transform. It literally wasn’t even a factor before. Go ahead and change it back, it literally makes no difference.
2nd protoss hasn’t won a major tournament in years, so clearly toss isnt the race that needs to be nerfed. They have already been nerfed into the ground in recent times.

How does it makes no difference? Are you joking? You don’t build all gateways at the same time and you have to hotkey them, so you can switch unit group, than is already 1 apm and than you need press and hold warpgate button, which takes some time. And you need to do this periodically - you don’t build all gates at the same time. Also sometimes you would build, unit by accident and had to cancel.
Protoss not wining major tournaments, has nothing to do with this…
- Zerg was imba last 2-3 years and dominating everything
- Zerg is designed to be strong against Protoss, while Zerg was imbalanced resulted in terrible PvZ winrates even 44%, PvZ was even more imbalanced than TvP, so logically protoss suffers most from this…
- teams disbanded and there isn’t many players left, many pros quitted, so there isn’t equal competition. Even Zest is like 1-2 tiers from top gsl and trap like 1 i think.
- there is not balanced top tier pros distribution of players, e.g. Serral won everything on eu and on GSL Maru,Inno and Ty
So both of your points are totaly irrelevant. Also game is balanced around top 0.00025% of pros or something and sucks for 99% of player base. Not to mention, even on top level it isn’t really balanced well…
It literally makes no difference. I cant think of 1 single game where I lost because I had to transform my gate way manually. Not 1 single game. So go ahead and change it back, it wont change anything. Maybe for gold leagues it will be a nerf but everyone else it wont matter.
How is toss not winning tournaments irrelevant. If toss is so op then tell me how can it be possible for them to not win a single tournament? You would think if a race is op it would win at least 1 tournament. Toss doesnt even have a dominant player. Both terran and zerg have multiple dominant players.

What ? Already fact, that you can free one hotkey for other things is huge deal! You also not realize, that you make additional gates later, while microing and you have to go back to base and hotkey them and transform them. Also you ignored fact, sometimes you queue unit by accident… It is not true at all that it doesn’t make any difference. And also you didn’t thought of you could mess up your hotkeys. It happens to anyone sometimes. Or what if you like to use gateways, with robo etc. on one hotkey ? This clears that hotkey for other things and you don’t have to use unit group hotkey to switch building type. You have clearly no idea how starcraft 2 works. Just because someone is on higher mmr, doesn’t mean he hasn’t to do same things as you and something that is easy to do doesn’t affect him in any way…
Yes I understand all of this. But you are not understanding that me as someone who played toss back before auto transform was a thing. Is telling you that it has made close to zero impact in my games. I am literally telling you that I am cool with changing it back to the way it was because it makes so little difference. I just dont get why some of you people complain so hard about this minuscule change. Its so absurd. Again not 1 single game I lost because of the manual warp gate. NOT ONE. I don’t even have any memory of it being slightly annoying.
If they changed it back tomorrow it may be annoying for the first few days since I’m at this point use to it going auto. But once I get back to the grove of doing it manually it wont change a damn thing.
