Throwback: When Scarlett beat DRG with Protoss

Down 1-0 Scarlett decided to play Protoss and ended up beating DRG in game 2 and took the series in the end. Thought this would be a good reality check for the people who pretend Zerg players are only successful because of their race. I don’t recall any time a Terran or Protoss switched to Zerg and had any more success.

Scarlett also won a a random race tournament by beating Heromarine in the final 5-1.

It 100% still applies today. And the starcraft master tournament was in 2018.

DRG was the Code S champ when Scarlett beat him. He was better back then than he is today.

It’s pretty funny that all those offrace tourneys are won by Zerg players… maybe they’re just more well rounded players.

TLO switched from Terran.

Switching races as a pro its pretty difficult, not like switching races to play ladder.If you switch races at pro level then you are behind in terms of training and skill.Scarlett won by cheesing, 7gate, not by playing standard and macro, as a surprise can work, but Scarlett playing toss would lose in the long run.

So losing in the semis is better than being the champ? I honestly can’t tell if you’re trolling or not.

TLO played random for a long time, so he was never just a Terran player.

Scarlett’s macro Toss is very strong. But even if she wouldn’t be as successful the fact that she did that on a stage like that is crazy. I haven’t seen anything similar from Terran or Protoss players. Even Serral and Reynor have crazy good offraces.
