Thoughts about this Community

EU G1 noob here. Loving this game and trying to practice it everytime I get the opportunity to do it.
Due to having not a NA character, I never posted on this forum before. It has been a year since I started following it and I can tell you this: this sc2 Community is the worst one among all the others out there in internet.
Here most of the topics are either whines, or troll actions to generate more whine. I think that all of us, as players, should have the common purpose to make sc2 as much balanced as possible. Balance makes the game enjoyable for all, and because we are talking about 1v1 competitive play, every player should enjoy it, INCLUDING our opponents. But it seems to me that the large majority of this Community prefer to get free wins to climb the ladder. If something is difficult to deal with, they whine about it. If something else is getting them an easy time against their opponents, they veto discussion about it. The funny thing is that checking the user profiles with the old forum, they were almost all between gold an diamond leagues… Guys if we are losing consistently to something is because our macro/micro/scouting/strategy is far away from being good, not because the game is broken. I really hate losing to nyduses, but I know that if I scout it and I get in time my cyclone patrolling my perimeter and my viking hunting the overguys, I can win.
I can also whine about GSL being protoland in this moment, but how can I be sure about my thoughts if my understanding of the game does not allow me to get out of gold? One of the funniest things was to discover that someone here who talk all day long about balance just play against AI only. OMG. And do not forget the guy which use statistics as a marketing tool and does not understand NOTHING about academic discussion and how statistics should be a tool to understand reality better, not to sell OUR REALITY to other people (I have a PhD in immunology). So someone says that the dev team do not listen to this Community. I honestly hope this is the case.
Now you will tell me: “What’s the problem with you? Go to other places.” I already do it. All I learned about this game derives from my reading of Reddit and TL forums. It is another world there. But the problem is that this is the first place where a new player start searching infos to get better at the game, and a toxic environment is all he founds. The fact that the official sc2 forum is the worst one in internet represents a problem for the game itself and this should be fixed somehow.

P.S.: MyOhMind please do not ask me to try your mod. We all know about that already.

I can honestly say that this forums isn’t the worst one I’ve been on, but it is pretty toxic most times.

Many people are using this forum to vomit their frustrations instead of seeking for help and constructive discussion and I don’t think they are open-minded enough to change that attitude.

I’m really happy I can post using my EU account. EU forum is completely deserted. So my hope is that with more people being able to post, more quality content will be created as well. I realize this can work the other way around too, but we will see.

SC2 community in general is great yet this forum is unpleasant to be on. In fact, there are not many active users and many of those who are active happened to be… well, let’s say, I wish they were not here.
