Seriously have no clue what they were thinking with this patch.
Cyclones still not fixed so its an auto win for Terran.
Toss just sits in their base and overcharges a HT for endless storm until they max out 200/200 carrier HT. Mothership does more damage than 4 corruptors and you can’t target fire anything because it cant be yoinked and sits over their whole army?! WHAT.
All the zerg build orders are ruined and now ZvZ is just an absolute horror fest of allins.
Yea this game is officially dead for anyone below top 25 GM.
honestly after 6 years straight of zerg im honestly thinking about switching back to toss. The way zergs working out right now, by the time you get any decent army its already too late and you get steam rolled anyways. Ive been relying on a 3 hatch ling rush with 12 workers and no queens just for any kind of early game hit, and 5 times out of 10 its still not early enough for any real damage unless the oppenents are just that bad.
not gonna lie tho, it is kinda fun figureing out a new build but getting steam rolled 8 min game sucks. still not sure if mass hatch is better than building queens right now either. im finding myself use queens more for spreading creep rather than injecting now cause i just dont have the money for the additional larva the majority of the time.

Off 12 workers? Is this the 3 hatch before pool slowling rush? I do that vs Toss to but I usually have 14 workers
nah i get speed, i go first worker hatch, second worker hatch, third worker gas, fourth pool, overlord, then build three more workers for the gas, mineral line, depending which finishs first, then just wait till the pool finishs and start making lings. im hitting around 330 ish with roughly like 40 lings and speed usually finishes right about the time i get to the other side of the map or just a few seconds after.
also, the first hatch is build in the nat, with the second being a macro hatch

also compared to the usually build i would do normally pre patch, i would have 3 hatch with 3 queens and about the same amount of lings running across the map, with 24 workers on minerals and 2 on gas. so its a big difference in eco compared to before.
Try the slow ling version, when i do that the game is usually over by 3:40-3:50
Drone to 14 > hatchery > drone > hatchery > 13 spawning pool > drone > overlord > drone.
Ignore any probe blocks and just take other bases if the toss tries.
After that you just flood slow lings off 14 workers. I can usually even afford a queen after the first few rounds.
Works for me most times i do it in diamond, but ive seen Harstem make it work in gm
pretty much the same build but with one less worker and no gas. i like having speed tho cause its easier to get reinforcements across the map faster
Yeah the lack of gas allows me to build the queen i guess, which can help a fair bit getting more lings out.
I just want zvps over with asap nowadays as i don’t find this meta fun at all.

It is because you are. Think about it. Normally Zerg makes 8-10 queens on their way to four bases. 10x25 = 250 minerals. So by the time you have your fourth you are already behind 5 workers in just the mineral cost alone. Now you are also floating larvae here and there on top of it because of the queen cost as well, so you can toss another 1 or 2 workers lost. Even 5 workers lost is bad without any harassment by the opponent, but now you have to deal with those 5 workers lost AND losing workers from harassment. Then on-top of that because of the extra queen cost you now need to spend MORE larvae on zerglings to defend most ground harassment. Its just insane. Terran balance council needs to be shut the f*** down.
I agree with some of the other stuff, not being able to abduct the mothership is really good for protoss, because you kind of need corrupters. Although, I haven’t heard a ton about cyclones being over powered. They’re good, however, you can’t get as many, and you have to be a lot more committed, they’re certainly not over powered, you just need to learn how to counter
Edit: I looked more at other threads, and it looks like others are also having this issue, I guess in all my ladder games recently I haven’t had this issue, so that’s my bad
you do know there bugged right now right, there only suppose to do 2o missle shots but instead there doing 25 and there lock on leash i think is longer than it should be, not 100% on that one but the damage bug is 100%.
Yeah, I think it’s just the first part. I didn’t know that, but I found that out. They didn’t fix all the bugs before they put this patch out which is unfortunate, but they’ve fixed most of the bugs, so hopefully this one will be next
yeah theres like 3 major bugs right now, 2 i do believe with the cyclone, one with mothership, the other bugs are more or less map bugs. but yeah they botched this patch when first released they didnt even have half of the changes right and had to go back and fix re update everything about 12 hours into the patch and still didnt get it right.
I know, like i said, usually by the timing i rush now, before patch i was alot further off. now im barely able to make a 4 min timing attack with signicant amount of lings, and thats if i dont build any queens. which god forbid a reaper comes across.
What’s the Mothership bug?
Now I don’t if this bad or good vs z vs z seems I am a head.
Two versions I am working on. Second version I build one guider build 14 then find 4 more to cancel so I don’t need over lord.
Drone 14 then grab to drones and put them on natural guisers. Then wait second and put two more on starter build 4 drones and cancel the 4 guisers. I build 2 hatches and then pool I have 15 workers on mins build overlord.
Then drone and pool gets done second hatch is up and third on its way and fourth.
I start massing lings and then slowly build some queens.
units arent cloaking right and still can be targeted. its hit or miss, i know lurkers were one of the units they found the glitch with but not sure if there were other units out there that were able to target the cloaked.
