Since blizzard became activision blizzard there was a noticeable difference in the player base and also the blatant cheating and hacking is worse now than its ever been. Dont waste your time.
cheaters are an unfortunate reality of all multiplayer games. There is still a healthy population in both starcraft 1 and 2 so the game is far from being dead. If you want to see a dead blizzard game go try to find any players on the GOG version of warcraft II. You will be lucky to find anyone.

I mean i get theres cheaters and all, but like why come here and whine. Nothings gonna be done about it on the forums. The one thing you guys who claim people are cheating could do tho, none of you have ever done. MAKE A LIST OF THERE NAMES YOU TARDiS. I mean gee golly miss molly at least people will be aware of whos cheating. Make a post with all there names on it and maybe, just maybe blizzard might actually do something with those accounts. I know this dont help in the long run as they can just make a new account, but atleast there forced to do so till they get caught again.
I mean really thats about the best your gonna get from blizzard right now till and if the microsoft deal goes through. After that everything is gonna be up in the air, who knows they may even drop the servers when they take over. bizzard aint gonna invest the money into this game right now when the deals still being worked on.
Honestly between 3.8k and 4.5k I think there might be 75% cheaters and 25% regular players. The amount of people I play with auto-macro, auto micro, production bars, and map hacks are just insane at this point. Its so easy to see too. They macro like they have 7k mmr but are at 4k. Or micro like they’re better than Serral or Maru yet are somehow hard stuck in diamond. The balance team would save this game by creating a better anti-cheat than they would balancing this game.
Um, Blizzard became a subsidiary of Activision Blizzard before Starcraft II released…

As for the main thread - there’s extremely few actual cheaters. most people accuse others of cheating when they get pounced on a game. I absolutely love when people accuse me of such after I body them 3-0. Just get better.
No cheater on this earth would be able to actually keep up with cheating and still perform anywhere above diamond.

Ok so show us the replay. Replays would show fog of war changes for map hackers if you go to your opponent view, as it does in brood war, which btw is crawling with actual cheaters (mineral hack, flying SCV, FoW removal)

8 Year old thread buddy. They’ve been around since almost the start of this game. You’re actually trying to claim these hacks don’t exist? They’ve literally been streamed on twitch multiple times and you can find other reddit threads talking about them. Stop being dense.

Not necessarily. Map Hacking programs will bypass the games fog of war system without leaving immediate evidence in a replay as the replay doesn’t show what the opponents screen sees. Just what the Should see. Additionally there are programs that will freeze your apparent view letting you look around while without the replay file picking up your camera change. What you actually want to look out for are things like your opponent preparing for a fight when your units have not been detected, Their camera view just following your army around without detection, them pulling their cameras to your unit rally points and them issueing orders consistently directly on them etc. All of which does require some game knowledge to be able to read. Something Lower leveled players won’t have and such may mistake for cheating. Other kinds of known Cheats include auto spellcasting such as having stalkers auto blink back at a set HP% or Terran bio units automatically stimming when in range of an enemy. Resource hacks are also a thing but not very commonly done because even an idiot can tell you shouldn’t have a bunch of extra money out of nowhere which is why they are usually reserved for trainer programs.
