It’s because players of other races don’t whine nearly as much, and don’t beg for balance changes nearly as much as Terran players do.
I myself, a humble Protoss player, do not ask for buffs for my race. Instead, I try my best to improve, watch my replays, spot mistakes and find better solutions to the problems I’m facing.
I wish Terran players shared my superior mindset. Sadly, their tears are as endless as the quantity of ammos in their Marines’ guns, regardless of the current state of balance.
Terran is by far the most common race played in general and especially at lower leagues. It stands to reason that the age demographic is probably quite a bit lower. That would explain the low rank and predisposition to whining.
Maybe that is why your race is nearly in shambles. If you don’t voice your opinions, aka whine, how does Blizzard know there is trouble or a want for change in your race? You all give Terran crap, but they are unified in their mission unlike the rest of the races. It isn’t a badge of honor to never complain, if you never complained nothing would ever change, hence the state of Protoss never changes. Just some food for thought.
I actually agree. Weirdly enough each race needs a whiner to prevent their race from being irrelevant. Now Terran certainly has whiners and Zerg does as well. But Protoss lacks are whiners/Complainers. Thats why Blizzard can get away with nerfing Observers and Zealots without resistance.
I mean I’ve always thought that what Protoss needs is a figure like idra. Like sure a Protoss idra would complain about Zerg every single minute and complain about Protoss being garbage. But thats what toss needs at the moment, a call for meaningful buffs not some players who say “yea obs nerf is fine” or “zealot will be slightly worse.”
They do need icons, sadly for Zergs all they got is batz, and he is hardly a champion of balance or anything truthful. Protoss need someone to complain and generally INcontrol was a good constructive Protoss whiner, he didn’t want the charge nerf and literally told everyone on the pylon show.
