Let’s be honest. None of us want to play SC 2. We all have our reasons, each as good as the next. But, if we’re going to post here, let’s at least have our laughs and treat the game properly. That means playing the game for its true purpose. Comedy. Something that can all bring us joy. Just gotta adjust to what the game is.
A game that has made a mockery out of RTS. It’s supposed to be a strategy game, but if you create a strategy… who gets the credit? Rotti or maxpax. No exceptions. I missed that memo in BW. We’re talking about a company who tried to ban a guy for being pro Hong Kong/aka pro freedom.
Whether we can be understanding of the latter or not, if a company doesn’t value human rights, what has SC 2 done to change the perception? They do fall under the same umbrella. Yet, month after month, we wonder why the balance team has an agenda outside of balance. Why Toss is almost extinct from pro gaming, yet… we expect fairness. Why, because it’s a video game? Do you see any fairness?
To truly celebrate the lack of fairness and revel in the mockery of all that makes sense, let’s have a forum competition to see who can get the highest on ladder via only making queens. Only queens and overseers allowed.
It’s fun to make strong units. What is stronger than the queen? I wish my mothership could be that strong. So, let’s have fun for a change. No need to balance complain when we’re only using queens. What could we have to complain about? Even Snute isn’t complaining anymore.
Serious challenge. I’ll start playing some later. It will be the first time I’ll have fun playing this game.
I’m trying to get an unranked game atm. Been months since I’ve played. Takes an eternity for me to get a game via unranked. Again, this thread is dead serious.
This is the only reason to play SC 2 atm. By now we’ve all plateaued, anyways, and are rage filled. I’m sure some people would end up depressed, though, when they realize they can get a higher rank via only making queens than they’ve gotten before.
Queens and vikings like the devil vs god. The ultimate super powers, but no one wants to acknowledge how strong one of them can be (the viking). Gotta live in fear, but won’t give it its due for making you fear it.
Well, I fear the viking cause it’s the by product of 10 years of mech whiners. Evil as can be.
I forgot that there’s only 1 Toss in this game. Yeah… Terran pushes were flat out annihilating me. Terran does DPS, apparently. I had to concede that I actually need to make “units” versus Terran. I might give it another go, though. Game is pretty easy when you mass queens + anything else, though.
Versus Toss… I don’t see why pure queens wouldn’t be great/suffice…
its plat 3, do you think they know how to play the game properly? i just did creep spread and made more hatcheries to up my queen production. he was held on 4 bases
I believe people who have played at least 12 games this season shouldn’t be allowed to post. Need to hear about why the game isn’t playable and what could make it playable rather than hearing from fans that are akin to dogs that will consume anything.
I played my first games of the season yesterday. A couple. The majority of “played games” are instant leaves. Ain’t no one got time for Z vs Z.
That’s the state of the game, though. You can be GM, be in love with your current strategy/approaches, and be playing at your highest level in LotV to date and there are only reasons not to play.
I’m having a hard time only making queens vs Toss. When you know how good mutas are… how can you avoid making some? I feel like spanishiwa has been participating in this challenge his whole life but he also can’t help but to make mutas.
