I would say to people: “believe what you want to believe” but for me 2019 was horrible. Every ZvT/P matchup was disgusting. Especially ZvP near the latter half of 2019 ZvT as well. One sided 4-0’s in the GSL’s in ZvT and ZvP where Terran and Protoss looked so hopeless against Zerg. Every phase of ZvT/ZvT, every minute of it was Zerg favored. Not a single minute was it not Zerg favored and never before in the entire 10 year history of starcraft 2 where 1 race was leading by 24% in the Aligulac ratings. Even the dreaded period of BL Infestor in 2012 was much more bearable.
Yea Zerg was straight up overpowered there and the only competition for Zerg was other Zerg players. Blizzcon 2019 was nearly ZvZ’s in the r04 if not for that legendary game that Classic played. The fact that people cheered for Classic cheesing Rogue and nobody cheered for the Zergs showed to me how terrible Zerg was. Everyone knew it and there was no hiding from it. That 1 week of starcraft was painful to watch. Classic knew he stood 0 chance in a macro game and the only way he could win was to gamble. Pity he peaked in terms of skill in an era where the balance was horrible. I’ll forever remember classic for what he did in Blizzcon 2019 such a hero.

2019 was arguably the worst for balance all time with zerg dominating, but protoss is definitely too strong now.

That was outright legendary. Best match of sc2 in Last years in my opinion because it was the fifth match of bo5 and it was maybe even the Last match of him playing professionally. Everything on the line and Nothing in his favor and he pulled that one. I remember the Chat and casters going nuts that was awesome. Also his series vs dark afterwards was legendary too tho he lost. Match 2 was insaaaaaane.
But yeah. You pretty much Hit the Nail on the head. Zerg managed that the whole bias against protoss was suddenly gone and everyone was Fed up with zerg and their nydus and free units (IT and locust).

Classic show. Protoss can make it to finals. And can win tournament. But fell short in skill. Against his opponent… he destroy ppp narrative of whiners… very legendary…

Not if you look at actually meaningful metrics. Zerg just won more tournaments.
Just because you don’t understand statistics doesn’t mean it’s some conspiracy against Protoss players

watching ForGG’s stream and hes playing Protoss. Guess that guy just needed to learn how to play starcraft to be able to win with Terran.
