The "balance of power" achievement seems no longer possible

Hi

This might be intended, but it’s just a bit annoying to know that the “balance of power” achievement is no longer possible, because it requires to win a 1v1 testing game.

I am also aware that no one is working on SC2 now, but any chance we can workaround this?

Maybe they should make it so that using the “testing” mod in Melee could award it?

yeah I agree, any path to make it achievable

since it’s tracked by that tab as greyed out achievement, unlike Feats of Strength

With the new PTR live I’m wondering if it is possible to get this achievement?

I signed into the PTR but it handles like a new account. Would it count the achievement on my main account if I won a match there?

From either the test region or my main region under Versus the Testing is grayed out and says that it is unavailable.

Is it still impossible to achieve ?
I tried with 5.0.11 patch on PTR server but it doesn’t work.
Any help would be great !

Same problem. However, now when new balance patch is being tested on PTR… will the Blizzard also test it in test games by any chance? Does anyone know?

im lookin for the achievment too. There´s a tab “testing” but it always apeear inactive to me

I am checking that every time there is a sign of an upcoming balance patch or even a small fix… but so far, Blizzard has not been testing anything in this testing mode… that’s really a shame :’(

@Blizzard Can we please have some feedback on this topic. Could someone tweak the game’s code to allow us to unlock this achievement? Or at the very least set the category to “Feats of Strength” and remove the rewarded points-value.

It’s really annoying to see all achievements unlocked except for a single one that cannot be unlocked any more, due to the developers flagging the “testing” mode as indefinitely inactive.

Edit:
There’s also the “Rage against These Machines” achievement where you have to “Play 3 Training matches”.

But again, the problem is that these are not unlockable anymore.
Both “Rage against These Machines” and “Balance of Power” should be archived as a “Feats of Strength”.

I would also really like to get that achievement, I have done pretty much everything else except 1VS1 and a couple of 2VS2 achievements.

New patch, tested the patch, won a match, still no achievement. Oh well

Nerco aside, playing the PTR doesn’t count for the achievement so it’s expected that the achievement didn’t pop.

The achievement is only possible through the testing tab which ESL has yet to use. Using the PTR or a mod doesn’t count. So the last time it was available was in 2020 leading up to Patch 5.0. I doubt it will be accessible again since the PTR is the preferred testing ground these days.

Yep tried it myself & can confirm you can’t get threw the PTR. This achiv has drove me nuts over the years, its the only I need & there is NO way to get. Please Blizzard remove it or make it possible to get or just move it to “Feats of Strength” and remove the rewarded points-value… Like another posted has stated…
