You can make that comparison.

But only if you give disruptors the same radius of an upgraded ghost’s EMP, the instant hit capabilities of EMP. And ofcourse, an autoattack, cloak and energy base so 1 disruptor can hit multiple shots in the blink of a second.

If I recall, the explode-on-contact Disruptor was actually reverted because the shots were too easily blocked. It was weaker against both Zerg and mech as a result.

Reacting too late to a drop? Boom your whole eco line is dead. Especially after the patch when widow mines get buffed.

i mean i understand where your coming from but at the same time the prottoss could have put some stalkers there or had some defenses where as the terran and disruptors “well guess i should have microed better I GUESS I LOOSE NOW GG.”

it is pretty easy to out maneuver stalkers, and once the units are on the ground, the stalkers just die.

You’re also ignoring the fact that without splash bio eats through everything Protoss has.

You are ignoring like 99% of the game, yes we need storm and tempests, but we do also need disruptors.

but they are op i loose like 10 supply from one shot :frowning:

i want you to imagine like 5 ghosts dramatically screaming right at the same time, thats what i think of when i think of disruptors.

also im going to admit this, right now against prottoss i think terran might be SLIIIIIGHTLY too strong but still i dont like disruptors and think prottoss should maybe get a zealot buff or something.

Yes, that is one of their better uses, to kill ghosts and other units that cannot stim away. However, the ghosts have already done their job just by being made. When they show up, I have to carry templars in a warp prism. This limits max storms to 8 basically, and it makes it much harder to land a storm, and very easy to target for the Terran. It also eliminates the usefulness of sentries. If you get an EMP off as well, that is great too. If you are very worried about disruptors, you could put your ghosts in a medivac, you have them anyways with your army.

True in part, it was an underwhelming unit when the numbers were low, when they were high it was basically protoss baneling, sending waves of shots and eventually the other army was destroyed,basicallly something that worked on a deathball.Against melee units it was bad, novas hit melee units and it destroyed also friendly units.Against T was the peak of its power, first you had the disruptor drop, it cleared SCV in seconds with almost no counter because the prism went drirectly into the workers and then dropped the disruptors who hit instantly.And at lategame you had many disruptors, Toss army advanced with collo+ht and at the moment T stopped the disruptor nova barrage started.
So at the end it was changed it because the unit was too deathbally and the drop thing was annoying.

Moral point of story is Terran is newer happy they will always whine cause it works over the years they got ghost that is sooo anti Toss and they still whine and whine so they got buffed same with tank and now they have BW tank same with thor now it is ultimate a move vs air/ground unit same with bc now it is nightmare unit good as harras and in group fights unit that have free get out of jail card and 1 line says it all i know that Terran is bit stronger than toss ATM but pls blizzard either buff us more or nerf Toss

i hate to break it to you, the balance team listen to noone on the forums because everyone on it(except me of course :D) has no clue what they are talking about and are a bunch of platinum leaguers(again except me)
