Terran Ghost Nukes

Coming back after 10+ years and the Nuke has remained unchanged from its gimmicky state it was when I left

What can be done with this spell to make it more viable so that ppl would actually consider using it unironically?

Here is my first proposal:

  • Overall damage increased
  • Nuke time-to-impact should scale based on how close the Ghost Academy is to the target

I like your idea. Another option could be having two types of nukes:

  1. a standard Fission Nuke - Splitting Uranium.
  2. a stronger Fusion Nuke - Combining Hydrogen.

Nuke very strong as is, if u going make stronger then ability detect where impact is going among multiple bases. Need be same as nydus worm detection is.

Trying to find dot on map is nerv racking any stronger where can wipe a base be insanly op.

Get real - the nuke is not seriously used by anyone except smurfs trolling gold league players

Exactly. Nukes are non-existent in pro matches, and they are too complicated for beginners.
It’s basically just a tool for smurfs to show off in lower leagues.

The first question should be, “Should Nukes be made into a commonly used ability?” What gap do they actually fill for Terran in a way that wouldn’t result in a worse gameplay experience in general if they were used commonly?

I think it should that’s why I made the post..

It’s been 16 years and still nobody uses - so clearly there is some issues that need to be addressed.

Yeah you said they should, but you haven’t given any reasoning why besides “they aren’t being used.” Just because something is in the game doesn’t mean commonly using it is good for the game.

So let’s go back to the more specific question that wasn’t answered yet:
