Okay, I’m not an expert on terran economy, but blizzard remedy to help terran by buffing the widow mine to kill the enemies economy seems a bit off. Therefore, why don’t we test two more elegant solutions that address the problem head on.

SCVs can continue to be produced while command center is being upgraded to an orbital.

Planetary fortress is equipped with a reactor and can produce two scv’s at a time.
The first change gets rid of that down period where scv production is stopped in the early game because of the morphing orbital. The second change only should affect the late game since planetaries are typically 4th bases. Two scv’s from a planetary might help in the later parts of the game It also gives the Planetary something else besides being a big gun. It can’t lift off, but it can better replace scv’s than an orbital.
IDK if these are actually going to be much use, but they seem to address the issues way better than the widow mine change (Which is super weird and I’ll make a post about it later).

Terran doesn’t need any buffs, especially to its economy. Those changes would instantly make the game Terran favoured.

Not to get into balance so much but I’m not sure why economy has to be “balanced” when Terran probably has the most efficient units in the game, especially in small 10 supply squads when playing Bio, and in a deathball, when playing Mech.
I’m not saying either needs to be nerfed, but I think it’s silly to look at economy in a vacuum without considering the cost effectiveness of units.
The “buff” to Widow Mine, in TvP, is to prevent Protoss from being so greedy that they completely forego Robo for extended periods of time, which most people don’t do anyway, since Robo is the most important building in PvT may it be Observers, Warp Prisms, or Immortals. I’m actually more paranoid about TvZ Hellbat Widow Mine timing attacks, although I don’t know either race enough to comment on the potential interaction.
