I gave up hope for Stats a long time ago. He likes macro way too much to be successful now. He just doesn’t look good at all these days. Plus, he’s supposed to be going to the army soon’ish. Sadly… his time is literally over.

Zest, though… He’s playing like this is peak Korean era, and he’s playing 14+ hours a day in a Korean house and is the best Toss in the world. It’s hard to look impressive with Toss these days. He’s making players look like they’re leagues below him. Every game, he’s just so on point.

Test Zest for steroids. Nerd is getting too strong.

The final 8 has 3 terrans, of which are definitely the best right now, and they are Maru, Innovation, and Cure. This is far from terran being OP.

i didn’t say terran was op. i think terran is fine. i’m just tired of all the whine terrans who QQ and say terran is weak as heck or zerg and protoss are op.

It’s interesting to see how some players are more adapted to certain metas than others

Stats is doing poorly in the last few years, but that doesn’t mean he got worse, it might be that the meta doesn’t fit his style, when macro protoss was the way to go, he dominated

I noticed this specially with soO, when the meta favors agressive midrange zerg soO thrives, when the meta is late game brood lord infestor soO underperforms

Zest is playing very strong lately he isnt even the punchbag he was the past 2 years. Won vs Serral in Katowice barely but shows that he stepped up his playing. He would not win vs Serral even at the worst day of Serral past 2 years.

Game is fine but before OP goes brain dead with numbers gotta ask yourself - would that be the outcome if they faced Rogue or Dark?

Inno has lucky bracket this time no such strong Zergs. But it’s fine for Terran now… I guess…

What are you talking about…if zerg had 3 players in the round of 8, that’s reasonable.

It’s when zerg won the last 7+ major premier tournaments that is the issue.

That’s definitely not double standards.

how many of those tournaments were after the balance patch? 2. and the winrates from those tournaments are BALANCED.

and yet Terrans QQ up a storm about it.

I believe terrans fully have the right, as well as protoss, to complain about 0 premier tournament wins in the last 7+ premier tournaments.

This isn’t rocket science.

I truly, from the bottom of my gigantic heart, believe that you would not think it would be fair for terran to have won the last 7 premier tournaments and say that the MU is balanced.

I can’t see it. For this reason, I think your thread is hypocritical because you wouldn’t take the opposite side if the results were opposite.

and even if zerg would have won the last 20 premier tournaments. these stats dont matter, since we had a balance patch in november/december.

atm, theres literally NOT A SINGLE evidence, that zerg is too strong. stats are saying, that zerg is balanced, or even too weak against terran right now.

just for you, here are the stats again:

tvz in february ladder: 49,8%
pvz in february ladder: 47,1%
tvz at iem: 56,1%
pvz at iem: 46,6%

so HOW in the hell do you think, that zerg is op, if EVERY statistic is prooving you wrong?

I’m more in the boat of “lets see if zerg is OP right now, especially in the Korean scene”.

But as I’ve told you a million times, you can’t just erase the fact that the last 7+ premier tournaments were won by zerg because of a new patch.

You can be more objective than that, I believe in you Dalai. Just like Cauthon, I don’t think you would say the exact same things you are saying now if terran won the last 7+ premier tournaments.

TY losing to Zest had nothing to do with balance.

Game 1: He chose to reaper scout against a proxy in an expand build. Generally, you lose in that scenario without an SCV scout. Even pros can’t change math and stop time.

Game 2: His proxy gets scouted immediately. Game is really over at that point.

Game 3: His scout misses by a hex.

TY truly just had absolutely **** luck.

There’s acknowledging Zerg had an extended period of strength, and acknowledging they had the everliving **** nerfed out of them this last patch and we should probably watch more games before judging.

weve had enough conversations, so i can tell, that this isnt true at all.

right, you cant erase that and yes, its a fact. but this doesnt mean anything for the current balance. a small example: lets assume, zerg would have won the last 20 tournaments. after that, zerg got nerfed. lings have 5hp now, queens are deleted, creep also. t3 completely erased and the cost of every other unit tripled.
so obv, in this state, zerg wouldnt stand ANY competive chance against terran/toss. would the last 20 tournament wins now mean, that zerg is still op? no? but thats the kind of logic we see in this thread.

how about you trying to be objective for once? :smiley: btw, darks gsl win was the first gsl win for zerg in lotv, but did you see me mocking about all the terran/toss wins before that in lotv? you didnt.
