imo in rts games you should be able to be outmaneuvered. Not to say that either of the two are op, they just feel out of place for an rts game because they take away the strategy from real time strategy. Obviously removing these two things would not go over well so maybe add something else that fits more in with starcraft 2.
Recall is fine, but I’d be okay with tactical jump requiring vision.
then terrans can just scan and jump.
Yes, but then it forces a scan. And I think it’s an improvement flavor-wise. Warpspeed jumps are complicated multivariable calculus manuevers, and getting it wrong is a great way to slam into a planet or star. It makes sense a BC would need to know where it’s going. Only Protoss should be able to warp indiscriminately.
You forgot to mention removing Nydus as well.
both are to allow going out on the map to be more viable and reduce camping.
If you want to remove them you better have an alternative because all the camping with BC and protoss before each sure was annoying to play against. BC would probably no longer be played
Requiring vision for the TC would be a good change imo.
Mass recall is fine, has a long AF global cooldown.
prottoss already camps half the game and terran cant camp because if they do we all know how that ends for them(15 gg lords). but yeah i do agree there would be an alternative, hopefully one that is more like an rts.
Make Nydus require creep to be placed.
It’s a little like BW, but can be done with SCII overlords and creep spread also.
If nothing else, I’d like to see it tested.
