Nope, P2 also halves their damage and shields as well. So, while a conservator shield could help protect your non hero army some, it usually doesn’t matter since you lack the damage to kill the enemy before they kill you.
That’s the thing… I hear 3 to 4 Conservators are enough, but with P2 having half hp, I would have 6 to 8 9 (which you can afford since they’re also at half cost. However, you’ll need extra Gates to keep that up since their build time is NOT halved).
Y’all are just bad at keeping your Conservators alive, my word. On non-P2 I go 2 to 4, on P2 I get a strict 2. I have little to no issues keeping them alive.
You’re sounding like Alarak now.
Is the low number of Conservator due to needing more supply for network?
Yes. I even cut a pair of workers to do so from my normal count. That way I wind up with a max power 6 Champion setup.
conservators are slow. u dont get punished, even with a-move attacks.
Personally I like rolling with around 5 of them, because I like to put the bubbles up over my partner’s army when they’re around as well. Though I normally don’t use Scouts or many Legionnaires with my normal comp so the loss of supply doesn’t hit my TDW (outside P2, of course).
Course that only applies with competency, if they’re too good or bad then it’s not worth it to bubble them. (Especially if they’re too good, cause then they don’t stick to my army)
One thing not discussed (or seemingly ignored) is the relative speed you’re pushing.
These shields have a 20sec cooldown, which is quite long for when you’re mowing down areas.
So when I see people using different numbers of them, it could very well because of how they choose to engage.
For me, I would need about 5-6 or so to have a cast cycle time of 10sec of less (to cover that 10sec up time at all times). That said, I run P2 and rarely need it so yeah…
