So it’s not really a secret that banshee is pretty underused. I mean yeah there’s a game once in a blue moon where some madman terran makes 6 banshees but usually it’s only 1 or 2 to catch opponent off guard.
Battlecruiser… is battlecruiser. Does the job better a lot of the time. Mostly because it has extra hp and tac jump to escape when low. It also translates well to late game because Yamato.
Banshees are supposed to be stealthy, super slippery, and generally the hit-and-run bomber. Why do we have teleport on the capital ship instead?
So allow banshees to tactical jump when they research hyperflight rotors. Have it cost energy with a shorter cooldown, possibly remove the 1 second delay before jump, since banshees are squishy already and you can already stop them via feedback/EMP/fungal. This is applying to banshee tactical jump: battlecruisers left unchanged

Banshees are a more powerful opener than BCs. They aren’t used because they are difficult to do. In order to make banshee openers as popular as BC openers, you’d have to buff the banshee in a way that makes it virtually identical to the BC. E.g., high health/armor, insane DPS and nothing more than move-click micro. SC2 doesn’t need more of that kind of nonsense. SC2 needs less. If anything the BC should be removed. The game has never been more boring to play or watch. It’s like the game doesn’t start until the 12 minute mark but you’ve got to hammer out 400 apm the entire time before it does start. Not to mention the plummeting number of players who still play this dead game.
Its funny, how terrans are going nuts against nydus, because it lets you travel around the map in no time. At the same time, tj is completely fine for them.

That’s only reason why mass reaper works once in 10 tournaments. Its absolute trash, but how the hell are they supposed to fight it? They will find out, but not during the game where you pressure constantly.
They were the defacto standard opener for 10 years. 99% of games opened that way. The lack of build opener diversity was one of the big criticisms of terran in WoL and HotS.

Tactical Jump is an awful ability for any unit to have. Would make more sense to just make that afterburner upgrade also give afterburners to banshees and BCs. I just fixed terrans starport units, you can thank me whenever.
