Supertournament proves nothing

Fact of the matter is terran players are significantly better than protoss players. Its not even close. Even if protoss start with massive imbalance favouring them, the immense skill gap was enough to offset it THIS TIME. Also, a single tournament result doesn’t undo 5 years of critical imbalance. If protoss had any significantly good players, lets say on par to someone like Maru, they would literally win every single tournament.

That is a terrible argument without any proof whatsoever to back it up.

That’s what the statistics say:

These are Z-scores. Do you know how big the difference is between the highest Protoss (Zest/Hero) and the highest Terran/Zerg? 5.8 vs 2.5. We can convert these to IQ scores since they are a similar metric. 5.8 is equivalent to 187 IQ. 2.5 is roughly 138 IQ. So, the Protoss are still “geniuses” so to speak but they just aren’t on the same level as Maru/Dark/Innovation etc. Lmao. These players aren’t even remotely close to the same skill level. Protoss are like your garden variety genius. Serral is like the one in a trillion super genius that spawns once in a millennia.

Do you know how many Protoss have been blocked from a 1st place premier finish by Maru/Dark/Innovation/Serral? Probably like 15 or 20 of them over the years.

This isn’t a balance issue. This is a skill issue.

If terran is Not represented → terran is underpowered.

If terran is overrepresented → terran Players are Just better.

That’s not a fact. It’s an entirely unsupported opinion. One which makes no sense.

That’s absolutely false. The data clearly not only supports his conclusion but proves it. Protoss have missed out on many premier victories due to superior skill from Terran and Zerg opponents. That’s a fact beyond repute.

As clearly shown in the post above, there is a massive skill gap between top terrans / zergs vs Protoss top players. Considering how wide that gap is, if Protoss wins, they really shouldn’t be winning if the game was fair. If Terran and zerg wins, they were miles ahead in term of skills so they should win. It’s pretty simple.

This and another lies terrans tell themselves to continue balancewhining.

Balance whining has been the core of most forums for this kind of game for a long time and will be forever. The better question to ask is why champion balance at all and I don’t just mean at a top tier level. Focusing on balance is part of what killed this game focusing on making sure the higher skilled player wins makes the game inherently unfun. Blizzard doesn’t make any money off this game anymore and has no real incentive to do well anything with it. Diablo immortal made more money in one week of microtransactions for blizzard than this game made in its entire life cycle for them. Which is why if we get a SC3 it has to be appealing too noobs and probably supported by microtransaction skins etc.

How is it everyone on this forum says the same thing and you are the only one here stating otherwise? Could it possibly be YOU that is delusional?

How is it a lie? It’s been proven again and again. See the comments with actual numbers from the smartest person in the forums.

There is an episode from Stargate Atlantis where Rodney Mckay has to babysit his 12 year old niece or something like that. She just likes to argue about anything and it drives Rodney, the 900 IQ scientist, up the wall. He’s constantly explaining to her how she is wrong, but no matter what she just argues back. It’s totally obvious that she has no clue what she is talking about, but he just can’t stop himself from having to correct her no matter how absurd what she is saying is.

Posting on these forums feels a lot like being Rodney Mckay.
