This is a minor nitpick more than anything, but once you complete a mutation on Brutal, there’s often very little incentive to play it again unless it happens to be an exceptionally fun one. In terms of rewards, after the initial bounty, you get less XP compared to playing a random regular Co-op mission (44,000 XP compared to 49,500 XP), and that’s assuming the bonus objectives are easy to get.
Considering this, I would like to propose +50% standard XP for playing a Co-op mutation. This amounts to 11,000 XP if you complete all of the objectives, and hence will reward you 55,000 XP it total on Brutal compared to 49,500 XP for a random regular Brutal.
As a side-node, it will also reward you a nice round 250,000 XP if you complete a Brutation for the first time (if you include the 10,000 XP for the first win of the day).

wait, you don’t get bonus xp for mutations? no wonder I never bothered.

this has been brought up before, the concern is that people would “abuse” the easier mutations for easy exp

You only get XP boosts for the difficulty setting, which is the same as for regular Co-op.
As for “abuse”, you might get 33,000 XP for completing a mutation on Casual, which is equivalent to doing a non-random Co-op on Hard. I can understand the concern though, which is why I hope that +50% (which amounts to 10,000 XP if you don’t get any bonus objectives) is a fairly reasonable value compared to the base 20,000 XP you get for completing a regular Co-op and +100% XP for doing it on Brutal.

How about daily exp bonus for completing the mutation for first time in every day?
I am not talking about the first day win bonus.

A casual mutation is still harder than a regular casual match, so it’s perfectly reasonable to get more XP from it.

Pls no, we have already have hordes XP Farmers that jumps into brutations just to have that super bounty bonus xp, while not having enough experience to do them and with the exact plan to be carried from start to finish, please don’t add another XP bait for them

They still need to complete the Brutation to get the bounty - I would have thought that having the skill to complete it is generally an indication of them being relatively skilled and experienced.
Plus the bounties amount to 185,000 XP - I doubt 11,000 XP will make much difference if that’s their only incentive.

I know, but it’s still a bait, for their farming-obsessed brains

25% would be ok (ie same as random map bonus)

And why not adding xp for troll unit comps? Or even better: more xp for playing with one arm behind the back and the screen off.

Experience points stop mattering after level 90, so I don’t know how much of an incentive this actually is to most players.
I’ve never understood needing an incentive to play the game. If it’s a fun mutation just queue back up for it.

Lol “abuse”, yeah that was a silly notion back then as it still is now.
No matter how easy a brutation is it’ll still take longer than doing that same map on normal. So since we have the under 5-10min cheeses, the talk of abusing mutation is honestly silly.
As for those not needing incentives. What I’ve never understood is that the reasoning is always, “I don’t get it, no need, just play the game. Past m90 exp is pointless”. So since it doesn’t matter to these people, then having more shouldn’t matter either. And yet, since the dawn of time on old forums, many have been super vocal about “no! More exp is bad!”. Weird notions… like, “so it doesn’t matter but somehow matters if you are getting more now for free…?”

Definitely this. 25% would work. It’s disappointing that (beyond the first completion) you get less exp from a mutation than you do a standard map.

Maybe there’s no point arguing about what reward it should give and how much. But I think many can agree that after finishing the Brutation and also for custom Mutations you get nothing?

I admit I’m not sure if one should get a prize for a custom mutation and for how much, given you can only do it with a friend and you can just select something simple like Outbreak and complete Void Thrashing with relative ease. I might ponder about +25% if you select two or three mutators or more.
I confess I forgot that this mode even existed since I don’t often get to team up with a friend willing to do it, since it usually exists solely for a self-imposed challenge (although if players got to suggest weekly mutations, then this mode is a great way to test them).
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
(This isn’t in response to anything. I just really like saying that; makes me laugh to myself.)
Yeah at least give First Mutation of the Day bonus or smth.
There shouldn’t be any rewards or incentives for playing mutation at all. They should remove all of the exp from mutation alltogether including the 44k or 49.5k to deter sub level 15 trolls and bad players from playing it because they feel they have to.
Keep brutal mutation as brutally difficult and at the same difficulty as this week’s polarity/trains or last week’s hero of the storm. Remove any and all exp and incentives from playing mutation and leave it for the players who enjoy the increased difficulty.
If increased rewards is added to brutal mutation, it will just lead to noobs complaining about the difficulty because they are not able to complete it and eventually with enough complaining ( see threads on this weeks polarity/ trains or last weeks heros of the storm ) , blizzard will probably nerf brutal mutations to be faceroll easy like the last 2 months before heros of vengeance.
