I am trying to get better at the game of starcraft 2 by playing a ton of games. I have learned a lot of from Vibe’s videos and learned alot from his awesome discord which helps me get better everyday.
Prepare from some wins, losses, and rants in this video
Hope you all enjoy and if you have any suggestions feel free to always leave them in the comments.
I may not be able to change my build on the fly but I do love criticism as it does have me to evaluate why I do the builds I do.
Thanks for watching.

38:20 why did you surrender? You was winning.
I watched some parts of your video and there are my tips for you (I just write the ones you should focus the most especially in your league - not the less important like “micro better” or something):
FOUR MOST IMPORTANT:
-
the game opening is very important I suggest you to start that simple opening: constantly produce SCV and then build supply depot (at 10 workers - don’t stop producing scvs) then build refinery and barracks and then command center // or if you want to rush then go factory instead of command center or other army buildings (however I don’t recommend rushing because they will place you in slightly higher league but you will not learn anything).
-
always upgrade your command centers when it’s possible - main and the closest expanded one is the always orbital (rest of them is just depends if you feel safe and if you need any stronger economy but at lower ranks I suggest you to always go planetary fortresses at expands - except the main base and the one that is closest to main base).
-
remember some basic unit production hotkeys, at 38:20 you was fighting and doing absolutely nothing - just watching, yes I know you can be new or just be a bit slower player due to league but you could quickly press your factory hotkey and instantly produce atleast ANY units when fighting - so just mash any unit keys production (for example click your ctrl + factory keys and press T 10 times for mass thors and R few times for some helbats) the economy was good especially for this league so you could rebuild the army while fighting and then just push enemy and win - he was dead already but you surrendered.
-
drop mules whenever it’s possible and scout constantly (you can do it with scans) to see what your enemy is producing so you can make a counter units. also it gives you info about enemy units numbers and value so you know when you can attack.
If you would practice on these 4 things I’m pretty sure you could get lower part of platinum league easily.

Good luck!
And if you are not 100% sure about the state of a game, keep fighting.
Like 1/4 of my wins are games where I was somewhat behind / borderline dead

This is all pretty useful information!! I will be putting this in my next set of videos. I play about 5 times a day in the evenings so I will put these notes next to my stream so I can remember.
My habits are pretty bad when it comes to making scvs constantly one after the other. So I try to make up for it by making my third CC early (around 3-4) minutes so that I can have three scvs going to my natural. Then when its filled up, I take my third cc, fly it over to the third (with some troops stationed for defence) natural and turn it into an orbital. That process usually happens around the 5:30-6 minute mark for me when I am paying attention. I still need to remember to make scvs constantly. haha
I get nervous somtimes when i am watching a fight and will forget to make 7t or 7r for thor or hellbats as they are dying. lol I have been trying to work on that in my game more recent games but I think its getting better…slowly. lol (Note the matches in the video were from last saturday I believe but I have since changed some small stuff like scouting)
Scouting freaks me out tbh. I remember Vibe saying in Bronze league that scouting doesn’t do any good because it can cause more problems than help since me as the noob doesn’t know the game well enough to make an informed decision through scouting in the early game.
I can agree that if I scouted more, i would be more prepared. So I have been trying to force myself to scout more. In the last two days of game play I have been using a reaper and I scan there base about once a minute…it still freaks me out as I feel like scouting causes the player to switch up. (Kinda like mind games. haha)
All fun criticism and I love it all! Thank you!!

It’s partially true that scouting doesn’t matter in lowest league but it sometimes reveal all-ins that even bronze can read (like mass barracks or something) so you can prepare by building a bunker. I suggest you to use SCV as scout because with reaper you should do some damage and the unit cost gas which can be useful for something else when you can’t deal damage with reaper. Dealing damage with reaper can be hard even me as a low master player I accidentaly lose my reaper too often when I constantly change the screen between reaper and base. Just scout with the SCV right after you finish your barracks. Select SCV and hold (default) left shift then right click with the mouse between the main enemy base and his expand few times. This will make your scout SCV constantly move so he will not die too quickly and then you can focus on your base while he will be moving automatically.

Geniuos Idea!! I am keeping that with my notes as well! I will try to work on that today! (even the idea makes me feel better because if i shift click the opponents base area along with his natural and shift click back, then I can get clear out the fog of war near his area without me having to pay attention as much.)
First learn one decent macro build against each race. You may want to google hotkey layout and learn it. It is important to learn this at start ! Starcraft 2 is mechanical game, hotkeys are everything.
Than focus only on these things:
- completely ignore what you opponent is doing until you reach at least diamond
- build constantly workers
- don’t get supply blocked
- spend your resources
5 . train units constantly
I know it may seem strange but: until you get these main points right, completely ignore what is your opponent doing !!! Also if you want learn theory, there are so many sources over the internet google is your friend. Spawning tool is good for builds e.g.
You may also want to increase your scrolling speed, try to get as high you can handle. Also use 800 dpi 500hz, or 700 dpi 1000hz. In case you have high sensitivity. Pros use usually 800 ± It is best sensitivity for 1920x1080 resolution !

Terran is good through mid game. Just make some marines or reapers and attack if playing 1v1. You should win 1/2 your games.

in silver league i wouldnt worry to much about unit counters or what the best units are, if you are in silver league you can benefit greatly from practicing your macro mechanics. i could probably get to gold league with mass ravens. Just remember to keep building scvs and dropping mules as well as making units and you should get out of silver in no time.
Also you made way too many turrets

I definitely wouldn’t worry about any sort of mind games for a while. If you focus on being quicker and massing up faster than your opponent, you will improve with no doubt. The scouting at this level basically just helps to spot all-ins or proxy builds.
I think the move is to look on Spawningtool, pick one of the simpler builds, then practice executing it. As you clean it up, you will rank up. In fact, I honestly think practicing an all-in can help teach you some things, like how to spend your money asap, and what your limits are when it comes to attacking early. The wins can also boost your confidence.
Then, as you start to level out again (hopefully gold 2/3 by now, maybe higher), try playing standard again, and learn how to defend against all-ins. This will start to round out your gameplay. Of course, it’s not easy, and there are a lot of mechanics you should start to learn little by little, but it is extremely rewarding.
Most importantly, have fun!

Also, in silver you could try some cheese wins. For example, try Zerg, make some zerglings and attack right away and/or do same for roaches.
For Terran, make reapers and attack.
For Protoss, make cannons and attack, or make zealots and attack.
