Stetmann Leveling

Simply that his upgrades aren’t really received in an order that makes a lot of sense while playing him. I think he gets Super Gary and Lurker too early over vital upgrades he needs to play him effectively or make him more fun to play. I think he should get Stetmannopoly and The Infestor Upgrade Cache at 5 and 6 instead of the current upgrades.

Opening Infestors as a upgrade earlier allows people to learn how to use Infestors as him earlier which is one of the most fun ways to play him. Before this they aren’t that good due to lack of Ravagers.

Stetmannopoly is the most vital upgrade on him of all of his talents. It gives him enough stetellites to cover the map way more effectively. Before then even if you have 0 downtime on his power it is too slow even with Prestige 1.

Sticking Lurker and Super Gary at 10 and 11 and shifting the rest down as needed seems like a better layout for leveling as him than the current. Unlike most commanders whose power is really good earlier stetmann needs more options earlier. He is probably the most annoying commander to level early because he is so basic until he gets the upgrade caches so late in his 1-15 leveling.

Some of the things like Super Gary or The Lurker unit are just really things that complement using him after he gets his more core upgrades. So he doesn’t really need those so early.

The Lurker should be given priority over Super Gary though. Super Gary is so unimportant compared to everything else that should probably be close to like 13 or 14 and shift everything else down. What is truly important is that he gets stetmannopoly earlier. As using his power is the most important part of using him over anything else he can do.

It might do good to increase how much benefit his allies get from the stetellites by base as well. It really doesn’t seem all that effective on allies while leveling until 15. It healing units based on the size of their pool might be better as well as waiting for them to heal is slightly annoying. Like the current numbers are good on zerglings and hydras, but it does almost nothing for Ultralisks. Takes them forever to heal or get egoenergy. When you have to wait like 20 seconds for both it just takes too long compared to down time of every other commander.

He’s not really a commander who should have any downtime himself aside from deploying stetellites. He’s probably my favorite commander at 15, but getting there is damn annoying.

Super Gary carriers early-mid game giving enough time to build whatever army you might want. You got things the wrong way around.

In my case what I did with his 3P was to hydralings till lvl 11 and then turned into BCL lings w/o major issues.

I also think lvl-ed him those 3 times as P1 w/o even Super Gary.

Based on this sentence alone, I know you’ve had very little experience with Stetmann.

OP, go watch some gameplay, read about him and his strategies. Then make some more appropriate adjustment suggestions. Trust me, getting Super Gary at 5 is far far far better streamlining his talents. Not saying it’s perfect but we use to get it at 15…

Stetman is a blessing compared to some other coms

-Karax with no healing beam and lack of insta-warp pylons and static defense.
-Mengsk with no toxic calldown abuse nor lv 3 RGs, Mengsk lv1-4 has terrible mandate generation.
-Swann with no tech reactors, fairly expensive gas drones, no speedbuild, lack of shield ability to science vessels.
-Zagara with energy issues, no free banes, said banes lacking upgrades, both zergling and banes lacking their variant form.
-As Diavel said, Artanis with no 200 supply which is like it slows down his ramp-up so much.

Those commanders I find it way worse than Stetmann, at least he has healing and Prestige 1 saves some issues of the lack of stetlite cd, and after unlocking Super Gary you can use his stetzone to push.

Super Garry is the most important unlock for Stetmann.

You should rush it every game and upgrade Garry into Super Garry as soon as Garry spawns.

Super Gary was moved to 5 so you wouldn’t need to grind 15 levels to get bamf Super Gary on P2. Wish they’d give similar treatments to other commanders. Point being, nobody want him pushed back up the tree.
