I have two GPUs in my PC. One of them is primary (AMD RX 7900 XTX) which I use for gaming, the other is Nvidia Quadro which I use for work, it is basically here so I can connect more monitors.
Now, whichever game I play, Hearthstone, Diablo IV, even Starcraft Remastered, they all run automatically on my primary display and primary GPU.
But for some reason Starcraft 2 runs on secondary GPU, and I cannot change it. Diablo has an option in its settings where you can choose display adapter, but SC2 does not. I tried some options in AMD software, but it doesn’t seem to help.
I tried with solutions that were mentioned on this forum some time ago, I also contacted Blizzard Support, they gave me some solutions, but still didn’t work.
I guess this counts as a bug, so I am posting this here hoping it gets fixed. Thanks guys.
I hope you find an answer to this, i was trying to do the same thing cause the rx 5700 i have seems to be wierd on setting up multiple displays. I actually just picked up a 1070 and have been using that for my gpu cause its more stable than the rx with multiple displays. but yeah was testing things out having a nvidia gpu and the rx in and it would always use the nvidia gpu over the rx gpu ( it was a gt 710 i had in testing to see what would happen). Havent done it with the 1070 in cause i dont think the powersuply would handle both the high end cards at the same time. but yeah sc2 will revert to the nvidia gpu over the rx’s. its weird.
it sounds more like a support request than a bug. the easiest solution is to just disable the gpu you do not want to use in device manager. the game will never use a disabled gpu.
