Star Craft 2 CO-OP Fenix Network Administrator Bug

Fenix P2: Network Administrator Description:

  • Advantages:
    • Tactical Data Web effectiveness increased by 200%.
    • All combat unit costs reduced by 50%.
  • Disadvantages:
    • All non-heroic combat unit damage reduced by 50% and vitals reduced by 50%.

In game carrier using P0 (No Prestige) with damage upgrade level 3 = 8 with a speed of 3.

In game carrier using P2 (Network Administrator) with damage upgrade level 3 = 8 with a speed of 3.

So the icon showing the damage stats in game of the selected unit is showing 8 and should be showing 4.

Is the damage actually 50% reduced and the icon is showing it wrong?

Or are the carriers attacking at 100% damage and the description is wrong?

Or are the carriers attacking at 100% damage and the description is correct? If this is true, it means their is a bug that allows units that should be nerfed by 50% to be attacking at 100%.

Note: This is for the carrier and not the Hero Clolarion.

Note 2: I did not test any other combat unit yet.

Note 3: The “vitals reduced by 50%” part is working. A regular Carrier is 150 Shields / 300 HP, and with P2 it is 75 Shields / 150 HP.

Note 4: the Advantages both also work so that the Interdictor damage caps out at 45 and the cost of carriers is 140 Minerals and 100 Gas (280 / 200 normally).

I think they attack at full power, but when the damage really taken by the target is calculated after a hit, at some point it get divided by 2.

Possibly, but why couldn’t they change the icon stats to reflect the proper damage?

Subjectively it ‘feels’ like my carriers with Fenix P2 are weaker than say Karax Carriers. It ‘feels’ like it takes longer to destroy stuff, but the game mixes difficulties and players of different skill.

It is hard to get an objective test since I may be matched with a mediocre player playing hard one game, and a really good player playing normal or casual the next game.

Also, the devs are the ones that should be testing it and fixing it. I mean yes you could be correct that somewhere between my unit firing at 8, and the target damage being calculated it is 4; but why can’t they just fix the stat icon?
