I came back for prestige on coop, and I started playing Brutal and Brutation last month.
I’m not that used with mutation. I played only a few in past years on casual and normal, and some on hard.
So I don’t know anything about mutators except the recent ones and the one I encoutered while playing Brutal + that last month (that difficulty didn’t exist when I was playing long ago).
So I don’t understand it quite well.
Here is my Question:
Let’s say I use Tychus and my ally use Artanis (so we all have maxed supply at start, make it simpler to understand).
In a normal game, if we max out supply each, we have a total of 300 supply: 200 him, 100 me.
In “Sharing is Caring”, does we have 300 supply total too, but now, it is shared, so Tychus could use 150 of the supply and Artanis 150?
Or does we keep our max supply (200 Artanis, 100 Tychus), but since units count for both supply, we could have only a total combined supply army of 200 (instead of 300 in a normal game)
(and it would mean Tychus couldn’t recruit all outlaws, cause he will be capped at 100, while Artanis will be able to continue to make army, since he is capped at 200?
Thanks for the help
max supply is unchanged, but your current one is combined and shared. Basically your supply is halved. (or even worse)
So in your example as Tychus you will start the game with…24/100 supply instead of usual 12/100, and as both you and Artanis build workers it will reach 100 pretty quickly.

I was being Zeratul and played with a Stetmenn we had 177 supply out of 100.
so it means the second scenario? The one that our total supply is 100 for Tychus, 200 for Artanis, so our max total combined army would be 200 instead of 300 if not combined?
Seem you were blocked because of 100 limit, but he wasn’t because of 200 limit.
I dont know if I was supply blocked though cuz I was just doing mass cannons and never attempted to build a unit
Your second explanation is correct - you keep your normal individual supply caps. Simply saturating both expansions for you and your ally with workers would max out your 100 supply and leave you unable to recruit any outlaws. Your Artanis ally would still have about 100 supply (up to his 200 cap) for building units. As he builds units, it will push your supply into the red.
So if he individually builds 100 supply worth of units, then you will be unable to build anything even if you have no workers or units of any kind because his 100 units will cap you.

Oh ok, so total army is reduced.
Thank you for the explanation. Now, that mutator is a problem

Right, total combined army size is reduced. Without the mutator it’s the sum of both commanders’ supply caps (so, 400 for two typical commanders). With the mutator it’s equal to the highest cap of the two. So anywhere from 100 (for, say, Tychus + Nova) to 200.
If you as Tychus are matched with Nova, and you guys saturate your mains and expansions with workers, then you’ll both be capped (or very close to it) and both be unable to build any army at all aside from your main heroes.

I see, thank you.
This is an hard mutators!
