Does SC2 support DLSS from NVIDIA? Maybe I can set it in the driver?
…dude this game is from 2010, development started in like…2004/5. Do you really need to ask?
No. It doesn’t. This game is also CPU heavy, not GPU heavy. DLSS wouldn’t increase performance.
Btw this game also doesn’t support VR, UW, nor is it future compatable with intercranial brain ports.
This is your best post ever bro
I’m a game programmer. DLSS WOULD increase performance. On GTX 1050 shaders are the bottleneck. That’s a GPU bottleneck.
Then you’re a pretty uneducated one. This game was optimized to run near max graphics on a GeForce GT 340. This game is old as dirt.
Your 1050, is not a bottleneck. The only bottleneck in SC2 is the engine using only 2 CPU cores which hard limits its max rendering. Either way, the game does not support DLSS because that technology did not exist when the engine was implemented.
I did some tests. I switched from HD to QHD and framerate was the same. It seems that you are right. It’s not the shaders. It’s my CPU. That means that i7 should be better than Ryzen for this game. That also means that DLSS is not very useful for this game. It could be useful around 4k or 8k, but that doesn’t matter. I thought that Blizzard updated their engine to use standard multithreaded rendering which uses all cores. That would make Ryzen 7 better. Thanks for a tip. I will get an i7 laptop then.
