I tried to install SC2 on my Mac Mini with the M1 chip, MacOS 11.2.2, and the install program on the disk won’t let me install it on my computer, saying it’s incompatible with my computer. What’s the workaround?

The Starcraft II disks are very old at this point and the installer has seen major updates over time. We recommend installing the game through the Battle.net app instead of via the disks.
Remove the disk from the drive and then download the Battle.net desktop app
Once that is installed and you’re logged in you can click on the Starcraft II icon and hit Install from there.
I keep my Blizzard and SC2 software up to date. SC2 has not worked since the M1 Macs were introduced. only, the older games still work. SC2 has something major flawed in it that prevents it from working. Crashes every time.
BadWOOF it works for my mac but I don’t use an M1 mac.
I did have to do a weird workaround though, something along the lines of making a new user-account on my macbook and naming that user-account SC2.
