Whenever there’s an X value, it means I’m not sure what number to put there. Feel free to post any recommendations and discussion in the comments section. I’m not sure what to do for level progression and for masteries.
This commander has two primary features: a replicator factory and hardpoints
The hardpoint system works as follows: each vehicle and aircraft which is constructed starts within a weak weapon, which can be upgraded individually to a variety of choices.
This commander starts with a mass production structure called the replicator facility. This structure creates waves of robotic infantry, ala Stukov. Infantry can be added to each wave for a considerable fee and can be upgraded at the facility.
Top Bar:
-Deploy forces: attack moves units from the replicator factory to the designated point (think Stukov psi emitter)
-Terror drone: infects a targeted non-heroic unit with a predator. The targeted unit takes X damage until it is destroyed. When the unit is destroyed, a predator spawns from its corpse
-Gorgon assault: a gorgon-class battlecruiser drops onto the battlefield and fights for X seconds. Has powerful weapons and abilities (different but comparable to Hyperion)
-Bot swarm: Inflicts massive damage to all enemies in a solar bombardment sized area. Any enemy killed spawns grunts with timed life out of their corpses. The number of grunts spawned depends on the supply of the destroyed unit. Visually, this ability should have a massive number of small bots clinging to units in the area and attacking them.
Infantry:
Grunt (marine): basic infantry. Can be upgraded with suppression rounds. Suppression round reduces the damage inflicted by a hit unit by X%.
Golem (marauder): heavy anti-armor infantry. The weapon can be upgraded to hit air. Can also be upgraded with corpser rounds: when a unit damaged by the golem dies, it spawns a grunt (think corpser roach)
Ambusher (widow mine): automatically burrows when an enemy is near. Can be upgraded to target stealthed units (no detection required, doesn’t reveal the stealthed units)
Predator: melee unit. Can be upgraded to employ a taunt (X second cooldown, autocasted) and do area damage with each attack
Vehicles:
Skirmisher (hellion): light vehicle. Can be upgraded with the following hardpoints:
-Flamethrower: same weapon as a normal hellion
-Repair beam: loses weapons in exchange for the ability to repair nearby units
-Machine gun: quick firing, but low damage weapon
-TOW missile: slow firing, hard hitting missile
- Radar tower: loses weapons in exchange for detection and longer vision
Atlas (warhound): medium walker. Can be upgraded with the following hardpoints:
-Cannon: medium damage, medium rate of fire
-Mortar: slow firing, splash damage, moderate damage
-Flak cannon: splash damage, anti-air
-Rifle: quick firing, low damage (basically a giant marine weapon)
Mammoth (thor sized tank): heavy vehicle. Can be upgraded with the following hardpoints:
-Gatling cannon: extreme rate of fire, moderate damage
-Armor piercing cannon: extreme damage anti armored weapon, low rate of fire
-Bunker: removes the weapons from the mammoth in exchange for allowing X supply of infantry to fire from the tank
-Howitzer: area damage with long range
-Missile pods: splash damage with a large radius. Can be used against ground or air targets
Aircraft:
Dart (wraith): light aircraft. Can be upgraded with the following (same as skirmisher):
-Flamethrower: same weapon as a normal hellion
-Repair beam: loses weapons in exchange for the ability to repair nearby units
-Machine gun: quick firing, but low damage weapon
-TOW missile: slow firing, hard hitting missile
- Radar tower: loses weapons in exchange for detection and longer vision
Explorer (science vessel): support aircraft. Can be upgraded with the following abilities (max 2):
-Seeker missile
-Irradiate
-Defensive matrix
-Slowing field (AOE ability which slows enemies in a large area)
-Deploy auto turret
-Point defense drone
Prestige 1: vehicles and aircraft now come with free hardpoints. However, these hardpoints are randomized
Prestige 2: vehicles and aircraft now cost far more resources to make, to upgrade and don’t spawn immediately. However, they now spawn with each wave of infantry at the replicator facility. The vehicles and aircraft only need to be upgraded once.
Prestige 3: the gorgon has its weapons removed and it also costs resources to deploy it. However, the gorgon can now be upgraded with custom upgrades and it no longer despawns.
