I think storm really is not the best way to weaken the corruptors for ur carriers…i checked the movespeed of archon 3.94 and corruptors 4.7…Since 3.94 is worker speed, u can no longer increase archon m.s. or they wipe workers, but if u nerf corruptor ms, speed void rays WILL STILL BE NOT A PROB COZ OF PARASITIC BOMB + FUNGAL. and i read CAUSTIC SPRAY DOESNT HAVE DURATION written in the tooltip? its infinite?? nerf it to same duration of SUPER BATTERY??? why its INFINITE as long as the coruptor IS ALIVE?
honestly, I don’t even think Corruptors are the issue if you really want to argue skytoss but rather Carriers is really lackluster past a certain skill floor in which people only attack your interceptors and use no aoe spell, and they take reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly long to build.
I don’t know how to change that without making Skytoss overpowered as hell though.

As about the Caustic-Spray there are things that a Protoss can do, at the end while he tries to snipe Protoss Bases (that should not be left unatended) it is assumed that Zerg is disbalanced in Corruptors (has made a huge number of Corruptors). In that case we don’t go beyond 175-180 Supply and do some juicy Zealot/DT runby’s devastating his external expansions…
Zerg can’t have 30+ Corruptors and a very strong Ground-Army at the same time.
There are strategies that rely in Zerg overdoing Corruptors (frightening them with Carriers), while on the back of 12-16 GW prepare for lethal Ground-Counter-Attacks.
It is a game ending move… nothing more. Player who lose base to it. Either does a big mistake and deserved to loss. Or is has lost game already. Player is upset that it crush his hope of comeback…

If you were truly neutral, you’d ask for reverted feedback damage for example. Not outright nerf corruptors, which are not a problem in PvZ.
I mean, they kinda are from what I can see, because they out-trade every Protoss air unit with the exception of a charged voidray, which they pull back and wait till Prismatic Alignment is on CD. Protoss doesn’t really have a good answer for them outside of storm and Archons from what I can tell, but that softens corruptors at best and relies on them flying into you, only made worse by the fact that Lurkers wreck archons.
Maybe the ideal ultra-lategame is Disruptor, Storm, archon Carrier?
I would like to see feedback buffed somewhat to deal with Vipers which are another problem Skytoss has - somewhere between the damage it has now and the damage it had previously, or alternatively an energy reduction on feedback. If anything this would my preferred buff - less energy consumed means more feedbacks that can be dropped with Rapidfire, allowing you to better deal with Vipers with less energy whilst preserving the Viper/HT micro battle.
As a side effect, this would mean that HTs would potentially be able to feedback Ghosts sooner if they survive a fight after being EMP’d, but that’s a very, very niche situation. It would also mean that you have the potential to drop storms and feedback in fairly close succession.

In theory, maybe. But that then results in some strange and less predictable interactions. I think Vipers are probably okay in their current state against Protoss, Though I’d like to see motherships be less of a dead-weight in the matchup as a result of Vipers being able to pull them.
That would be confusing, and starcraft must be pretty clear in these aspect.
I think adding abduct a bit of delay and making it that if the unit goes out of range it does not realize the abduct, no energy is used but the hability gets a low CD, so pulling units at max range would be not that efficient,enemies could retreat or have a better chance to feedback/snipe.
From the feedback that Blizzard has from pros from both sides and also Reynor said recently, Protoss late game is actually either even of favoring protoss, the problem is actually getting there on equal footing. So I don’t think that protoss is devoid of ways to actually deal with corruptors. And if the balance situation in the lategame from what said pros and blizzard said is correct, corruptors definitely are not a problem late game.
Either way, a ball of corruptors actually cannot engage with a skytoss deathball. So while yes, on pound for pound against singular units corruptors can take on pretty much anything except charged voidrays, the simple act of activating the charge and watching corruptors move back, they already take plenty of damage from the interceptors or archons and storm. Also corruptors, as relatively agile air units, have the tendency to clump up massively, meaning storm and archons deal massive to them.
On the mothership interaction, it is pretty much necessary that they are abductable. Even if you pack detection, a mothership with a few tempests to snipe overseers would mean that the corruptos have to take massive hurt in the process of going through half the deathball in order to take out hte mothership. So sure, the mothership a lot of the times is a dead weight, but it is in a situation where if zerg did not have the abduct potential, it would be unimaginable overpowered. If there was some change to be done to make the mothership better aginast zerg, it would probably have to come in a rework of its abilities rather than the possibility of abducting it.
Either way, it has been made clear to us by blizzard that late game pvz is not a problem. And they made it clear also that they got plenty of feedback from pros pointing in that direction. The problem seems to be more in the realm of ravagers, forcefields, etc rather than long macro games. I’d start by changing the forcefield-bile interaction and adding more punch to feedback and then see how things go, but personally, I really don’t think that corruptors are a problem because, while they might win monobattles against a lof of things, the game is not based around monobattles and actually corruptors fare very bad against archons and storm support. And even if they simply disengage, well, they can’t disengage forever before starting to lose bases, and the true battle is to actually tone the protoss deathball down via abducts and very well picked trades before the zerg starts losign bases, to a point where a direct engagement is possible, which I like a lot because it is a dance where both players participate and try to outmaneuver and outplay each other.

Nonono, caustic spray is OP as hell and doesn’t have to do anything in the game, same as corruptor speed. Corruptor speed was buffed, only because carrier interceptor release ability was insanely OP!!! You could release them and than back away and trade minerals for gas! Even if you backed off, didn’t matter because they are so cheap…
Pissing ability was added arbitrarily for no reason, corruptors shouldn’t have this kind of ability. Take for an example low econ game, where there is no aa. Now Zerg is wining games, which previously were winable for both sides. Also they can take out bases way to quickly! Corruptors are way too overbuffed. Zerg is already op and has too much harassment options, there is no reason to give corruptors this ability… It is one of reasons Zerg is busted, because they buffed literally every Zerg unit in the game for no reason…
Yeah, God forbid about people questioning about balance from other races too.
