Reporting a player

I was in a coop match with a player. The player proceeded to destroy their own base and as the match ended in a loss due to them having no buildings, they paused the game and left. Leaving me unable to report them, or to leave the game.

This is absolutely HARASSMENT.

EDIT: I did try and unpause. it wouldn’t do anything whatsoever. I’ve been playing SC since SC1, not my first rodeo here. Its a bad player and it is harassment. I am surely not the first person they have done it to. So they are doing it purposefully to make the experience bad/unpleasant.

My issue here is there was no way to report the player or even block them.

ok, so yeah, 1 your gonna get banned on the forums probably for calling out other players, why i dont know cause people call out pros all day long but yeah thats against the rules here.

2 you can unpause any game even if another player did it, so that one is on your for not knowing that. as for people doing that, theres nothing against the rules that says you cant. so your out of luck there as well.

3 matchs dont end in coop when one player loses everything, you could of kept playing at any point in time.

4 not really harrassment, just a bad player.

Everything you wrote is true except:

The match ends if either of the player lost all their buildings.

But yeah. Its not harassment, but its toxic.

unless thats a new thing then no, ive lost all my stuff many times when i first started to play coop, then again it has been along long time since ive had that happen.

Cant confirm it was never the case, but its the case for at least 5 years. Dont really like that you basically have to protect the ally since they could be toxic players (and all they need is to kill their base and its over; you cannot outright kill them if they teamkill) or if they leave the game you need to have at least some sort of protection for base :frowning: It also makes soloing the missions harder if you want to go for a solo run.

well it is called coop so makes sense it would be that way. Never really ran into the issue of bad players on coop, most of the people i played with were decent and not tkers or like that where they kill there own.

but as to the original posters post,

WELCOME TO THE STARCRAFT 2 GAMING COMMUNITY, you have been initiated.

Can confirm, had it happen to me yesterday. Someone left right at the start so I flew their CC into the enemy and a-moved all their SCV’s so I could use their base, and the game ended when his CC did.

yeah we already confirmed that.

There are so many problems in team play, why the partner can kill his or attack his partner’s base is beyond me.

To prevent the teammate from doing things like boxing in, or blocking structure building/resources. Etc.

And what is preventing the teammate from killing his own base, and leaving the game, my good sir? which happened like thousands of times, there is people that only do this and never play the game.

I didn’t say it prevents all bad behavior. The choice clearly only prevents some of it.

And I think you’re aware that either way provides equal oppurtunities to troll, just in different ways. My good sir.

By far is not equal, as Terran, I can build a supply depot, and if he is not allowed to attack my buildings there is no way someone can block me in.

Not if you weren’t expecting to be trolled and they got to it first. Or your geysers, or your expo, or your production buildings, etc, etc. And, your idea doesn’t help the other two races.

Don’t get me wrong it is still very bad.

However for all 3 races you could go straight to air, and that works sometimes in 2v2.

But I wonder what would be the solution, to eliminate all these issues, so teammate can’t abuse stuff like that.

Can’t go to air without gas.

In the end, either way poses problems, so being able to attack allies is not something that’s beyond understanding.

I didn’t thought about that.
