We’ve come a long way and many years and it has finally happened. We won the battle friends.
The #1 thing you have to know about reddit is that it’s filled with people who have a very distorted sense of reality. If you check out TwoX, you’d think there’s a violent criminal hiding behind every bush, a conspiracy of matriarchs secretly rules the world, and all the world’s problems are caused by men. If you check out any economics sub reddit, there is a conspiracy of evil capitalists trying to turn the working class into slaves. If you check out any political subreddit, Donald Trump is literally Hitler reincarnate and “trust us, the FBI’s really got him THIS time!”. If you browse a financial advise subreddit, you’d think it’s a good idea to spend your burger king salary on Gamestop stock. Reddit is totally fine, the people who post there are delusional.
They totally freaked out over Net Neutrality, and nothing changed after it was repealed. These people are legit psycho. If you like dog memes, Reddit is your guy. If you like being accurate on any technical subject, reddit is the worst place to go, bar none. They have no clue what they are talking about on any subject whatsoever.
The point is, if they are freaking out about reddit shutting down independent apps, then you can safely conclude reddit is totally fine. These people are a little touched in the head, if you get my drift.
You seem a little touched.
Batz wants an echo chamber, and Reddit has enough people that Batz can’t use his alt accounts to try and make himself seem validated through popularity.
This is exactly what I am talking about. Experts joke about how bad the news is on topics they are familiar with. A lawyer for example will scoff and roll his eyes if he reads an article on a legal case. I do the same thing on subjects related to computer science. Journalists just don’t know what they are talking about. Reddit is like that only worse, because anyone can create a topic and anyone can upvote a topic. The accuracy of the news on reddit is going to be abysmal just due to how the system is structured. If you can’t tell that, then that means you’ve never read anything on reddit that overlaps with an area you are experienced in because, if you had, you’d know what I am talking about. You either have extremely niche experience, or no experience.
Even if an expert writes the article, it’s easy to find disagreement. There are wildly varying opinions from experts on a range of topics. So you can imagine how utterly useless information is when it’s generated by reddit, e.g. written by the layman, reviewed by the layman, sorted and filtered by the layman. It’s wild that anyone would trust the nonsense on that website. Do you honestly go to reddit for financial advice? Go talk to an accountant or a banker for crying out loud. Better yet, talk to two or three and pick them for their different temperaments so you get a well-rounded accounting of the risk. If you go to reddit for financial advice, you deserve to go bankrupt lmfao.
Rather than reading reddit, read a book or two for crying out loud. Here is a good one:

You’re welcome. Computational geometry is the future of mankind. It is the language used to describe complex analysis that makes everything from rockets to airplanes to skyscrapers and beyond.
What are you talking about? I could easily code a bot that gives me a thousand upvotes every time I post. Getting upvotes on reddit is an insult. If you are upvoted on reddit, you need to rethink your position because redditors agreed with you, and that’s bad news. Sticking upvotes onto yourself makes anyone with a brain ignore what you have to say. Why on earth would you do that.
What are you talking about? The last post on reddit was about Batz and it got 1k upvotes.
That’s just how it works for me. I will be minding my own business, climbing a rock wall, and I will be eyeballed super hard by some chick. She’s like staring up at me. I can’t tell if she’s mad or what. Do I have a mustard stain on my pants or something? She’s like squinting so I can’t tell if she’s mad or if the sun is in her eyes. So there I am trying to not fall while 100ft in the fair, and now I can’t concentrate because I am being eyeballed.
I finish the climb, my buddy belays me down and I give him a fist bump. I turn around and this chick is right there. I am like oh crap I hope I am not in trouble. She probably heard me dissing on someone and got offended. So she comes up to me and is like “I saw you climbing there. You did a really good job. It looked really hard. So anyway I was wondering if I could have your number.” My brain flat lines. I was annoyed at her because she was eyeballing me so hard. I was ready to fight. I thought for sure she was some rando Karen here to explain to me that I am insensitive or something. It caught me off guard. I couldn’t think of my number. I know there is a spot in the menu of android where it tells you your own phone number, and I couldn’t find it.
It’s the funniest thing, really. You could drop me off in the middle of Ukraine with bombs going off and ruskies shooting from all directions, and I’d be right at home. But the moment a pretty face asks for my number, it’s code flipping red. It’s like a deer caught in the headlights of a semi truck. I am just frozen. Brain activity has reached zero. I am in a comatose state.
Eventually she’s like “No worries, I will give you mine!”. She’s like telling me what to do, right. She tells me to add her as a contact. In the name section, she says “Erica” but with a double “K”. I am like WTF. You don’t spell EriKKa with a double L. That would be pronounced eri-K K-a. Who tf spells Erica that way. She’s like “Well my parents wanted me to have a unique name, I guess.” I am like "OK, “eri-KA-KA-A”. She does this cute little smile and walks away with spring in her step.
So anyway I now have this rando chick’s number in my phone – Errica, with a double K.
You’d probably tell me that I being paranoid, but I am not. One time I had issues with stray cats coming into my house, and they’d mark their territory. They marked my rockclimbing gear once, and I didn’t notice until I was out rockclimbing. This chick I was on a date with was pulling out the gear and making the weirdest faces. I was like UH OH what’s up. She pinches a harness with two fingers and holds it towards me as she looks away. It didn’t take me long to figure out what happened. So there I was climbing this rock wall, being eyeballed by this chick, and having PTSD of this other chick. My life is flipping wild, man. I can’t go anywhere without being harassed. All these darn feminists man. A man just can’t be going about his business without being practically cat called. We need a #MeToo movement for men. What do you even do when you are on a rockclimbing date with a hottie and a stray cat takes a wizz all over your gear?
Feminists aren’t too bad, but FEMINISTS are the worst, if you get my drift:
So anyway here is your weekly breaking bad analysis. So Skyler loses interest in walt and sleeps with her boss, right. But the moment she realizes she can use the money to buy a car wash, she’s back in love with walt. This fits my prior description of the scenario that she is simply very threat sensitive. When the threats seem far away, she’s fine.
At this point in the story they’ve introduced Gus, and you can really see the difference between a psychopath and a sociopath if you contrast Gus and Walter. Gus is high in social intelligence while Walt is high in technical intelligence. Gus is interested in using people to accomplish his goals, Walt is interesting in using tools to accomplish his goals. Gus has no problem manipulating people in a variety of methods, while Walt usually just throws a tantrum when things don’t go his way. Walt creates new tools to use as leverage over people, while Gus tries to find common ground. The difference is that Walter is much higher in negative emotion, and he’s a little bit socially handicapped, e.g. he has a hard time interacting with people.
You see this issue all over season 3. Walt just can’t understand how other people think. He tries to convince the hitman to join his side and he can’t understand that the hitman just doesn’t want the boat to rock and that he sees walter as a trouble maker. So this hitman is ironically having to run protection services for Jesse, out of fear that if anything happens to Jesse that Walt will blame Gus. So he’s protecting Jesse and Walt, and Walt is trying to convince him to betray Gus. Walt is totally out of touch with the reality of the social situation that he’s in. He’s legitimately socially handicapped.
Gus is obviously very smart, but he’s not emotional, because you see him whack his own hitman with no remorse. That’s clearly psychopathic behavior. He understands people and how to use their emotions for his benefit, but he doesn’t feel emotion himself. Walt on the other hand feels tons of negative emotion, a lot of which is channeled inward at himself and which creates ego-centric problems for him.
Walt’s insecurity is so profound that he can’t let Gale take the credit for the lab, and ironically lights a fire under Hank’s butt to track down the real creator of the lab. Walt is Walt’s own worst enemy.
It goes to show that people who are really high in intelligence tend to have extreme negative emotion, which means that intelligent cognitive processes are inherently anxious and negative by definition. This makes sense because, for example, people who take antidepressants see an IQ drop. Literally. Extreme intelligence is almost synonymous with negative emotion and it’s incredibly self destructive. They captured that beautifully in Walter’s character. If you want a good example of this in the real world, nietzsche and Edgar Ellan Poe come to mind. EEP was a flipping genius. He understood the criminal mind absolutely perfectly.
A good example of how walt creates tools for leverage would be how he made the explosive compound to use on the Mexican cartel. He leveraged them with the explosive to force them to pay up, and this was ultimately catastrophic for walt. Gus by contrast doesn’t like to use fear as a motivator, except as a last resort, and you can see exactly why that is. Walt is so out of control, though, so Gus has to use intimidation tactics to try to control him, which ironically causes Walt’s worrying to explode. That’s where the friction between the two reaches escape velocity. There will never be trust between Gus and Walt because Walt is too smart and too unpredictable and impulsive for Gus to trust, and if Gus can’t trust Walt then Walt is a liability that has to be eliminated.
This is what I was talking about previously about “stupid smart people”. A smart person with dumb goals is extremely destructive because they will do those dumb things better than anyone else, and that’s perfectly captured in the Breaking Bad story. Walter is a genius, but he can’t decide what he wants. He’s too emotional to settle for the money because what he wants is emotional security but his extreme intelligence has left him too socially handicapped to attain emotional security. He doesn’t even realize what it is that he needs.
Gus saw this issue coming from a thousand miles away, but Gale convinced him to give Walt a chance, and Gale did this because he admired Walter White as the chemistry genius that he was. Gale is probably the most innocent person in this entire story, by the way.
This is actually a good business lesson because it shows that smart people often have dumb goals. Both Walt and Gale were more interested in making the best chemically pure compound that they can, while Gus thinks 96% purity is totally fine and will work great as a baseline for his business. Neither Gale nor Walt can think practically because their goals aren’t making money. That’s the fundamental issue of a businessman. You have to get your employees’ goals to align with the business goals, and that’s very hard to do. When dealing with smart employees who have divergent goals this is extremely problematic for businessmen to manage.
No one is posting, no one is watching, twitch is mostly dead unless a streamer comes online like big gabe or Lambo, like 400 viewers if you don’t count replays.
Not really we LOST when Activision took over, It was hostile obv and it was to monitor our communication and disrupt gaming community within cause we gamers did get things done via forums and generally have higher IQs than people who just use internet to tiktok all day or fapfap.
I can’t decide if you are upatree or ukko. My money’s on a tree.
