I’m a fairly regular SC2 viewer, but I have not been enjoying watching in the last couple of months. Watching zergs flood the board with static defense is just really boring, and it sucks out all the drama. Of course zerg is going to win the long game. It gets effectively 220 worth of supply, given that spores and spines are, in fact, not actually static.
I’d like to see a change that allows spores and spines to unburrow only when proximal to a base (like Toss defensive warp-in). The spore or spine can burrow outside of proximity but then it is stuck and can’t move.
I really think it’s the spore forests that make zerg so OP in the late game. Yes, Broodlord/Infestor/Viper are amazing units (do Infestors and Vipers both need three really great abilities when Ravens and Templars have zero or one?). Still, they can be beaten with a good engagement – something that’s almost impossible when they can always fight over 10 spores. The zerg doesn’t need a ground army when spores do all the work.
It’s not a response to say that “oh, well, don’t let the creep get pushed out so far.” Obviously there are few pro players who can prevent that, which is why zergs have absolutely dominated the last four to six months and the Blizzcon champ is almost certain to be a zerg.

the game is only balanced for like 100 people out of the 10k that still play daily.
but thats ok the game becomes more balanced the more people stop playing. at some point it will be perfectly balanced for everyone that play

No, sorry but this is fantastic play. You don’t know what you like.
Do not try to condescend to me. I’m not a child. I know very well that I get frustrated and bored watching terran and toss headbutt forests of “static” defense that isn’t actually static. Maybe it’s fantastic play but it doesn’t matter. It isn’t at all fun to watch.
At the moment, zerg has all the advantages. Terrans have spellcasters with one useful ability; zerg has two spellcasters with three useful abilities that answer pretty much everything. So why on earth do the little things also have to go zerg’s way? Why are snipes interruptible (fungals are not). Why gives ghosts or banshees cloak if that ability can be answered by a cheap mobile structure that is powerful and can be moved anywhere.
Anyway, what is fun about watching TY or Stats build up these massive air armies, and then sit for 5 minutes on the edge of creep trying to kill high HP-spores that cost almost nothing and carry zero supply, while the zerg is banking 5000/5000? There’s nothing fun about that, which is why I have turned off the group of death to come over here and complain.
I bet you don’t like roaches fighting roaches either.
I don’t mind the Spore forest at all, the overpowered power of the Zerg is BL Infestors, and now that every individual IT will be hitting like Thors balance team should consider putting the Infestors to a 200+ gas cost at least, the Raven cost that and don’t have nearly the same power. To kill an Infestor should hurt much more than it does now. That’s a way to nerf it.

Well, I think the BL Infestor and the spore forest are two sides of the same problem. Spore forests are a problem when they can be used to protect powerful slow units with very long range. BLs are a problem when there is no practical way of using the air units designed to stop them (e.g. Tempests) because the Tempests die to spores.
My solution to infestors is to eliminate neural. It’s simply overkill. Infestors would be strong enough with fungal and ITs, without being an all purpose answer to everything.

Roaches fighting roaches isn’t my favorite battle, but it’s fine. It’s not frustrating to watch. The outcome of the fight isn’t predetermined.
Well I agree with that, almost all lategame comps for Terran and Protoss gets picked off by this stupid spell only because t3 units are big and consume lots of supply, because of this theres not much of them while Infestors takes 2 supply only, combining this with fungal and ITs, do Zerg really need all this in one unit? I agree that they do not, one of them must go IMO.
As an avid viewer since mid-2018, I gotta ask…what the hell happened that things got derailred so much?
PvZ was AWESOME last year, I remember some of the serral vs stats games last year, and then I watch this last serral vs stats and makes me sad
ZvT is still enjoyable to watch but I still preferred the endless bio/tank/lib vs ling/bane/hydra/ultra battles from last years over mech
PvT was actually the only match up that has improved, thanks to nerfing proxies
PvP actually improved too with the extinction of phoenix wars
ZvZ and TvT remained almost unchanged

He is being sarcastic… he agrees with you
Roach v Roach is a meme since thats all that happens in zvz and pretty much the worst mu
And we will mostly get that this global finals because of zergs ultimate comp with its ultimate map control capabilities and static d at the front so it cant even be punished for small mistakes

Did you know Creep Tumors can be killed?
Than maybe give the zerg a reliable AA-Unit like in BW (Scourge) and a reliable detection unit like in BW (OL). Zerg builds these spore forest because of not having any available AA (at least no AA that is countered by basically every unit that shoots in the game: Corruptor and Hydra) and no available detection. And no: An 150 minerals and 50 gas unit is not a reliable source of detection in comparison to the other two races.

Did you watch soO vs Special game 2? He literrally almost beats 3/3 mass viking/BC with pure 2/0 corruptors all of which were AAMed throughout the entire fight. The myth that Zerg doesn’t have any AA is just not true anymore. I get that the AA provided by Infestors and moving static d is so good they may have turned into a sort of a crutch to lean on and losing it may be painful. But to claim that Zerg has no good AA is not that strong anymore.

It’s not that Corruptors are amazing and more that Zerg can produce 15+ of them at once. So yeah, you might have 8 BCs and 15 Vikings…not gonna help vs 45 Corruptors who then start morphing into broods when they’re low on health.
I think it’s funnier not to make it too obvious but yeah, you got me.
