I like to stream games sometimes.
The only games in which I have an issue is blizzard games because I don’t see a way to turn off friend notifications while playing them. Usually this would not be a problem but a lot of my friends on BNET are Real ID, and I don’t want there name broadcasted online to whomever.
Is there any way in Starcraft II to turn off friends notifications online, make things more private, for streaming?
Cheers

If you’ve done nothing wrong, you have nothing to hide.

ignoring the thought police down here, this should really be an option, though there are certain softwares that let you blot out portions of the screen, maybe using something like that to hide the place where notifications show up?

Unfriend all of them. On a more serious note, put yourself on busy mode? Mess with the settings and see what you can do. I don’t think they’ve touched chat-related things in years.

games free to play, just make an account for streaming
Seems like a good idea… maybe I could find a way in the meantime to use other software to block it. Thanks for the tip. I completely agree as well, it should be an option to turn off, at bare minimum, no friend notifications.
Unfortunately I have tinkered with all options to no avail, including busy mode. Thank you for your help however, and haha
Hey! Old post, I know.
I found an option to turn off “Real ID” on battle.net, but it specifically says the setting doesn’t persist in games
Is it truly possible Blizzard is aware enough of the potential issue, but just wouldn’t put it into one of their most popular games?
