İ think they are making New patch they just pre-news to preparing next patch. İf really removing paid purchase they gonna make New in game balance i think and allowing to aquiring everything we want? İ dont know but i believe starcraft never dies

I also wish, now that no new contents will be released, they could re-offer past War Chest Augments, and also those from Special Occasions, for example, the Portraits for the 2017 Free-To-Play Update. Many people, those who longed for new contents (like myself), feel very disappointed, since this means we won’t have Structure Skins for factions that already got Unit Skins (Umojan and Mira’s Maurders for Terran, Purifier and Golden Age for Protoss, and Primal and Leviathan Brood for Zerg), hence why I think, to not fall into monotony, and eventually not playing the game as often as we did before, it’s important to re-release past contents via a sale(s).
The contents are already created, no need to develop, just selling them (for maintenance costs and such, I don’t know exactly how the company will spend their content-selling income), or releasing them (read as unlocking, or by other means).

I understand your realistic point of view, but as the caring fans that I think we all are, it’s better not to lose some hope, otherwise we’d have had end up disliking it some time ago (now that the news are we’re not getting new paid contents), for any reasons one may have, you name it.
Yes, it’s sad now players won’t get matching Purifier Structure and Unit Skins (Umojan, Primal, and so on), but that doesn’t mean there’s not any chance for us to be offered past contents. They’re already created, only thing left to be done is selling them (whatever the company does with that income, I hope it’s always for the game to be kept well-maintained and updated now that said earnings won’t go to develop new contents for the game).

I’d personally long for the Primal and Purifier Structure Skins to be released (sold as a Skin Pack, just like all the Skins we’ve got up to the date). Many of these structures, if I’m not mistaken, are already part of their respective Co-Op Commanders (Dehaka and Fenix/Talandar), so I think, there is a slight chance they may have built some of the Skins that weren’t released with their Commanders (not all Structures from Multiplayer are in Co-Op), so they may sell them later on. Take it as a last breath for what released contents are.

Well… I wouldn’t dare to say we’ll never get past contents once more, but rather wait, and just keep feeding this thread, so new people get interested. Now that the news that new contents won’t be released, this may mean people will now pay more attention to past War Chest contents (remember, not all of the fans were following the game constantly during it’s so-far-10-year lifetime, but came back for certain reasons). From my part, I’ll keep participating here, hoping new people, with the same interests as us, will want to participate.

There’s no hint for now we’re getting those contents anytime soon, so I wouldn’t hold my breath for any soon past Augments to be released.

Current contents weren’t deleted, and they’re still available for purchase, and I don’t think Co-Op Commanders will be released for free.

As I said before, current available contents for purchase aren’t going to be deleted anytime soon, and if they did, for whatever reason, they’d always let us know beforehand.
I also hope StarCraft will never die, but they seriously did something harsh for those who care about paid content (Co-Op Commanders, Skins, Consoles and Augments), and rather decided to focus on those keen of the Competitive/Constant Races Balance aspects of the game. Now, and as I saw it coming, people are obviously angry, since the game now feels incomplete. They should’ve released all remaning contents first, but they can solve that by just selling them, without the need for War Chests.
I already told the peeps here I’m not keen on the Competitive/Constant Race Balancing aspects of the game. I enjoy just playing the game casually, with friends or family, enjoy buying eye-candy (read as Augments/Skins and the sort) to fully enjoy my gaming experience, and just having a good time. The release of the sad news we all now know, proves there were more like-minded people, but the company just decided to ignore them. Even if they need now time/resources to develop further games for the StarCraft Franchise, I don’t think it was nice just to shut the door for new purchasable contents to lots of players in their faces.

Some players said blizzard done making New content for starcraft 2. What about other games such as world of warcraft that game constantly has gain content. All right check Diablo III let me guess making season and just pumping item powers are easy right. Starcraft 2 have any kind of flaws?
İ understanding about heroes of the storm but why starcraft 2. The e-sports matches are still watched and liked many players.
İ know the reason to closed heroes of the storm e sports and then heroes comminity became more toxic. Does starcraft 2 needs more love?
Of course needed i didnt want any New content for starcraft 2 i may missed warchest 4 and i still in grief and pain because Seat of the Highlord Banner tal’darim and special forces decals. İ want also ask about newest blizzard game Overwatch it was really a great game and also their e sports watched much as Starcraft games.
Starcraft games deserve good comments please deal with the toxics and open all previous Warchest items for sales before completely closed (i hope dont happens)

I’m glad I came across this thread because I was thinking the same thing last night and I thought about making a thread about this myself.
The announcement refers to the creation of new paid content, but since all the past War Chest content is already made, it would just be a matter of making it available in the store. Then, making the code adjustments (which I assume isn’t too much of a deal) to allow them to immediately appear in the game when purchased.

Oh my god a customer support. İm happy now please if all previous Warchest contents are opened me and other players gets any cosmetics. İ want finish my tal’darim/forged set through buying Seat of the Highlord Banner tal’darim and special forces decals (for terran) if you all devolopers allowed them purchaseable all cosmetics globally im much more happy. İm trust you Leviatan you wont regret it 
İm eu player but im forced to use us forums. if during warchest 4 if i had 10 euro im instantly purchase protoss warchest

I wholeheartedly agree. I dont really care if these are tied to achievements, ranking, or money, as long as the already in game content becomes available. It doesn’t even mean it has to come as warchest.

Before the sad “drop of support” announcement, I was wondering if I should post about a concept idea: buying or winning lottery tickets through various activities in the game, and if having a winner one, being able to pick a selection of otherwise locked old content.
But that would have been for a more addition-friendly period. Thinking about all the details and making them work is probably not compatible with the now established mood.
