Rapid Fire Question

Question, can I set more than one key to Rapid Fire? I have heard there is a backdoor way of doing this.

Yes, you can put an alternate key for every spell. I use “spacebar” for: Build basic structure, build cannon, Blink, Storm, GS, Nova attack, MS Time Field.
But you have to use several control Groups.
If you use a CG with Stalkers and Templars the Storm will take precedence.

Yes.

For me it is:
Computer —> Documents —> Starcraft 2 —> Accounts —> 13800***** (censored, i don’t really know what is it for, I have 2 folders here, I just chose the one that contains my usual replays) —> Hotkeys —> name of your hotkeys template, for me it’s “0_Default”, “Coop” and “1v1 Protoss”. I am not sure if you can edit default.

After opening the file in notepad, you edit “TargetChoose=LeftMouseButton,T,F,V,M,Z,S,D,E,C,A,G”
line, as mentioned in the video sent. I do not know if it is saved when you change your computer, though.
It is “legal” to use during most of official and unofficial tournaments, Maru was using it for “movement” command during one of WCS, and I am sure he had it for different keys as well (like snipe). So it’s not “cheating”.

Have a nice day.

#Edit: Fear the man who has “S” button from Stop command on rapidfire!

I guess the multiple “accounts” in the excellent Dallarian post might be accounts in different Servers (NA, EU, Asia) that are still part of the main BN account.
I doubt that people needs different profiles depending on the Server but still…

Servers are located in “1-S2-1-", "2-S2-1-", "3-S2-1-*****”, therefore hotkeys are not server related. (1 is NA, 2 is EU, 3 is KR)

I have a lot of old data as well, including 3 folders for some old data from 2 other computers, for Dallarian-SC_tag folders.

Do not get confused by that please ^^
It could be the same (but newly created with different random number) folder, that was naturally generated by playing the game, even if I copy pasted old one.

Yea, it was just an hypothesis for trying to explain why multiple files are required for the same task. Do the program access all of them? If you edit only one what happens?
SC2 file structure is complicated and togather with different caches it can have thousand of Directories and maybe 100 000 files…
It’s ironic that is more complicated than whole old Operating Systems like Win95/98…

Hotkeys, global, unit management, set “choose ability or AI target” to desired button. That’s the setup.

To use it, you gotta shift queue the ability, so you just press the ability hotkey once, then hold shift and your rapidfire button onto the places you want to use it. Kind of hard to explain, but once you get the hang of it, it is very useful
